I guess I'm one of the few that really like these (for the kickstarter price). I wanted a bunch of zombies in 1/18th scale and wasn't disappointed. I've been posting pictures on Flickr and am about half way through the figures so far.

I will use different color Sharpies on the mismatched color joint parts if necessary. (Just like some of the later Star Wars figures from Hasbro.)

Small follow-up:
The interior waist/hip bar piece from a male BFS blank can be successfully swapped with one from the Duncan/Ryan figures. I have no plans to risk hip peg breakage to test for proper hip tension when swapping legs, but at least you now know you can swap the interior bits. Also, I have confirmed that the waist sections are also cast in white and painted over, so removing the rather wet "dry brushing" might prove tricky to do without cutting through the base color down to white plastic. I haven't test stripped any areas of the torso, arms, or legs so far so I am not sure if everything is done in white or not. So far, the head and waist sections are most definitely white plastic on these two figures.

Another thing to note, which might be obvious but wasn’t to me, the internal t bar thing differs from male to female. They can’t be swapped, so if you wanted male legs on a female body or vice versa, you’d have to remove the legs.

Only had the time to monkey with 7 of the survivors last night, but other than the painted joints in a few places I'm not having any issues with these 7 - which includes Ashley - although I do see a lower standard of QC than I've gotten from BFS proper (after their first KS Blanks all had buried ankle pegs, to be fair). But my Ethan + Keanna news-reporting team look solid and my parts-mix of Ashley and Olivia to start Return of the Living Dead's Trash is gonna work fine. Thanks to the craziness of this election season I'm not going to have a chance but nibble at them in batches over the next few days. I could be happier, but I'm happy with these 7 so far.
