This is great news. I'm very happy that they aren't giving up. Next time around with the added exposure it should take off quite nicely. Include the turtle fig, that will throw it over the top.

Have you considered re-designing the torso/armor of the figures to move away from the 'monkey in a corset' look? I fully understand the historical significance of the look, but on the few toy sites I saw (here, fwoosh, toyark...) it seemed that the comparisons to the Warriors looking like they are in lingerie seems pretty common and could be turning people off from the line. Just because it was a real world look from the past doesn't mean that it works by today's standards- it seems more people will look at it and think "monkeys in sexy clothes" before thinking about ancient battle dresses. Even maybe changing to a 'bare' torso with the corset an add on piece of armor so that it still matches up to the comic book. Just a thought- I'm sure plenty of people love the current look, but having missed the goal it might be worth looking at the basic design and how many people might have been turned away by it just looking silly. (Which was actually my initial thought about it until following the Kickstarter for a while and the look growing on me)

If they can throw some diversity into the line that will help too. USAgent made some good points about the attire. I think along with USAgent's thoughts, just add some different characters besides monkeys to the mix. Don't get me wrong, I think they are cool, but some of those characters from future waves, mix one or two of those in there to add some species diversity will make a huge difference. Especially since its a kick, those tooling costs could be there from the start all the while adding much excitement. For me, if there were a solid mix of species characters, I would be all in in a heartbeat once it goes live.

Just a couple quick pics of the keen Face Cleaver of Ultra-Hate Jason Bienvenu sent me yday. It's very stiff and sturdy unlike most Hasbro weapons these days, and fits perfectly in Val's hand. More please, Jason!
