Not talking about weed or pubic hair.
This time. But recently we picked up some of the animal planet animal buckets, really liked the trees, rocks and coral scenery in them for setting up Joes, Marvel, whatever figures and playing. Do you guys know of any other good sources of trees bushes, other plants and scenery in this style or that is about the right size for Joe toys?

I grabbed a $1 bag of dinosaurs at Target and it came with 4 plastic trees and a rock. They're kind of flat and stylized (probably not too good for realistic dioramas) but I have them displayed with my Imaginext dinosaurs and it's a nice little extra.
EDIT: Here's a pic of them. the everyday: DIY ACTIVITY TRAY

Thanks dude, that is sort of the type of thing I ma looking for but the bigger the better. The one thing about those Joshua(?) trees in the animal Planet sets is they are just a smidge small.

Yeah, these probably only come up to about waist height on a Joe. You could probably put them near the back and claim they're in the distance. The rock piece might work as a base, especially as you could probably modify it with a foot peg to mount a Joe on.

Check out a pet store. Some of the scenery people put in fish tanks, or with their snakes/lizards might work for Joes.

Another option is to visit some shops which sell garden equipment and accessories. I found some cheap plastic greenery and tiles with plastic green that works perfectly. Also shops with train modells etc, but those are kinda expensive. A great but expensive solution for trees is schleich trees (can be found in toysrus i think) some pics with greenery from pet-aquarium-terrarium, garden shops the grey road is from a train modell shop more pics here http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...dio-story.html Last edited by triant; 08-15-2015 at 04:50 PM.. |
