Toy blog Designer Graphix has posted some detailed images of the newly released Revoltech Alien figure. The Revoltech line has really been on a role lately. This figure looks like an excellent addition to the line-up.

If you never watched Moyashimon:Tales of Agriculture you seriously need to just to watch Haruka Hasegawa; she's freaking hilarious in a psycho kind of way. The only thing I don't like about this fig is they chose the wrong outfit for her IMO and she doesn't come with a lab coat... the lab coat is a must!

But then she get's super mad and looks scary... LOL. moyashimon - haruka hasegawa on Flickr - Photo Sharing! Quote:
She only wears the outfit they chose for like a few seconds in the show near the end. So irritating for me, because Haruka Hasegawa is in my top 5 favorite anime characters of all-time and this will probably be the only fig they ever make of her and they gave her the worst outfit she wears in the show IMO. It wouldn't be that bad if they gave you a labcoat to cover it up, but they don't. I've been trying to figure out a way to make my own little labcoat for her for the longest time... But I guess if you are using her for the girl from Hellboy... she works well enough. LOL. Great review btw. |

Got this from the mailman today. #1 in Kaiyodo's new Revoltech line based on sci-fi films. As you can see, the box packaging for this Alien toy is superb. If there is one thing to say about the Japanese, is that they know how to package a toy.
Out of box, it's even better. The toy is fantastic. Full on articulation in the head, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees, and ankles. The tail itself has no revoltech joints, but it has a wire inside so you can bend it however you like. The only downside to this is that the tail is required to stand. It's very hard to balance without the tail touching the ground in some way. The stand itself doesn't do much. The facehugger attaches to the egg, but it can come apart. |

The paint application is amazing. The top of the head is a dark, but clear plastic where you can see the skull details. This comes off.
Really, a perfect figure. Amazing quality. Now for some fun. GI Joe vs Alien: WATCH OUT SCARLETT! |

Oh damn, she got caught! The face hugger succeeds where many Joes have failed: Scarlett is impregnated.
Here you can see the difference in size. Not bad, but I figure the Alien is a little too big to fit in with 3.75" scale. Still, it's pretty good. *** I've been told the scale seems right, considering what they're like in the movies *** The mouth can open to reveal the smaller, second mouth that shoots out. Again, awesome detail. Mmm... brains. Snake Eyes to the rescue! Last edited by pud333; 04-13-2010 at 11:29 PM.. |

The Joes are victorious. YO JOE!
Once again, the paint is very detailed. Final comparison pic standing up straight. All in all, probably the best Revoltech figure ever made, IMO. I can't wait for Batman later this year! *** The figure is translucent if you place it up to the light. Sorry, no picture, but it's really cool! *** Last edited by pud333; 04-13-2010 at 11:42 PM.. |

I had just watched the first Alien movie a few days ago after not seeing it in YEARS, and from what I gathered, the few times it did stand up completely straight, it was a good 10 feet tall, and it walked around hunched and was still bigger, so that toy actually looks pretty damn close to size.
Of course they remodel it for every movie, and the ones in Aliens (the best so far) we're tinier so take it how you will

Actually, it's about the right size to use with 3 3/4 figures. The soldier aliens were about 6 to 7 feet tall.
