So would I. Chap Mei just put out the deep sea dive suit again. I'm hoping the V-22 Osprey makes it into the lineup one day. The troop chopper had seen several reissues.

I would kill for an updated FLAGG, similiar to BLUE NOAH, It was a sub/aircraft carrier whose landing area folded out and folded back. In the front or the Bow section was a submarine that detached and reattached. This was before it was refitted for space travel

Long shot but it folds up smaller to take up less space and also have 2 other sections 1 sub and 1 transport carrier to play with

I like the idea of a Hydrofoil looking carrier, makes sense, probably alot more stable as well. Digging the KILLER WHALE coming in to dock. I also read up on the ICEBERG CARRIER that was to be made by GREAT BRITAIN back in WWII, the ice was mixed with wood chips and could take a beating from torpedoes and other trauma, It become cost ineffective due to resources fluxuating, the part that had been made took 3 seasons to melt. Very Warehouse 13. Very cool. Last edited by Skipper; 07-07-2013 at 03:24 PM.. |

I love the idea and think it would make a great opportunity for Hasbro to ramp up the excitement a bit for Joe like Metroplex has done for Transformers.

hasblow is so behind the times. they claim that big ticket items don't sell and people wont buy them or retailers wont stock them. ok then explain to me hasblow how 3rd party transformers easily sell for 100+ gestaults go for 500, and mp's can go up to and over 200 for 1 piece and they sell out? and all that with out retail outlets.
how about matty collector who has now done at least 2 subscription projects voltron and castle greyskull? both large ticket items and required no retail brick and mortar stores. or the gijcc does the fss which costs over 300 bucks for 12 figures plus a mystery 13 and people pay it with out problem. all these companies or clubs can do this and make a profit, sell out, and keep making more all at the same time as keeping the fanbase happy. why cant Hasbro do the same as say matty and go hey joe fans you want an updated flagg. here is out idea we estimate it to be x dollars and we need x pleddes and upfront payments and you will get your flagg. its not that it hasn't been proven to work or hasn't been done before. the issue that we have had with all boys toys in the Hasbro family is Darryl depriest. the vp over boys toys who has driven both star wars and gi joe into the ground with bad choices, short cuts, and truly lack of what people want.

Although I have been restoring my USS Flagg and making a crew for her, this design idea has merrit. The superstructure is the only thing that gets tooled (with accessories and figures), the cost goes way down compared to redoing the original Flagg.
I for one would like to see the superstruction redesigned, don't copy the original one. I would rather see it designed like a modern carrier superstucture. Model the tower after the USS Enterprise or USS Nemitz (take your pic), just include a level for the bridge and then a level for the flight control. Add some CWIS to replace the canons and other modern weapon systems. Also with the new 50 cal from Roadblock, make some mounts to attach them. And one big design addtion, have it capable to mount to the original Flagg playset. This way, you serve multiple functions: 1. stand alone playset 2. New tower structure for the USS Flagg 3. with a second Flagg Playset, have it a totally differnt ship (USS Enterprise) with custom stickers numbers options.

Or just include a decal sheet/s and basically make your own flight deck design, whether is a helo carrier, twin hulled concept carrier, or the USS PICA NICT ABLE with addition of the garage rubber mats that you can get at Sears for about $20 (the mats are usually 2ft x 2ft and there about 6 of them, thats not to say you can buy another set of mats and really enlarge that flight deck ) |
