Is there a non-destructive way of removing Deadpool's webbing, orange circle harness holding his swords and his belt?
I can pop off the head, and stretch one side of the shoulder harness over the neck peg, but how do you get the belt off? Pop the upper torso? Has anybody pop the upper torso off one of these XOW figures? I can't believe hasbro didn't make the webbing easily removable like Joe webbing. :P |

I just cut off the webgear but left the belt. Then gave him Gi Joe webgear.

How on earth do they get the webbing onto the figure during production? :P

Boil and pop the thighs, then with the head off the webbing is removeable.
EDIT: Belt. Duh. My bad. The boil and pop softened mine and while trying to get over his ass the unknown glue joint on the side released. His left side if I remember correctly. Not available at the moment or I'd tell you for sure. Last edited by kingsurlycrab; 03-28-2009 at 11:08 PM.. |

Thanks for the tip kingsurlycrab.
Found it. There is a glue tab on Deadpool's belt, left side, first brown pouch. Hmmm... so if I boil it, the glue will release... better than cutting the webbing off. I'll look for another Deadpool before I try this... I'll feel real bad if I mess up my only one. Thanks again. |

I dunked Deadpool in a wine glass with hot water... gave the belt on the left side a few tugs, and the glue tab pulled apart. I now have Deadpool sporting some tan-colored Joe webgear.
I was planning to custom make some sword scarabs, but it looked as bulking as the stock webbing... so I gave up. Also I noticed while I was doing a lot of posing, my Deadpool's top hip ball joints are now super loose! It's like Deadpool now has karate kick action... man I hate these ball hip joints, at least with the Joe style hip pins we could take them apart and dab a little super glue or tape to make them stiff again. <sigh> |
