Picked up a set this morning. Sabretooth alone is worth the kit. I just wish they'd done a better job with Wolverines jacket. The arm openings are too large and expose the torso underneath. Those patches of tan are kinda bad.

Bah, the double joint elbows of the Legends alone make them better in the long run.

I think the sculpt on Sabretooth is excellent, but the regular Wolverine from the Wolvie movie (yellow tiger-stripes uniform) seems very flat. The "press pics" on the box are SUPER retouched, and I think may be of a two-up sculpt, because that detail is NOT in the figure). I'm glad this new Wolverine has separated claws, despite being bone. I honestly liked the bone-claw Wolverine stories, as it made him slightly vulnerable and his healing factor was retarded-fast, but I understand why people like him with the adamantium. It's the iconic Wolverine, and I think it looks best on figures anyways to have metal claws. |
