True enough. Wal-mart and Target may be in a class by themselves.

I drove all over the place this weekend for the hell of it and didn't see anything past wave 7. I was looking for older stuff anyway but only scored an extra Widow. *sad trombone*

You're right, you can't sell it if you don't have it on the peg. I know Target's original plan was for them to have those Pursuit of Cobra Deluxe figures, but that doesn't account for the empty Star Wars pegs. That is unless there were some Star Wars exclusives that got canceled too.

I worked in retail too 2003-2005, I never remember this long duration of not having things well stocked in any particular area. If something wasn't stocked it was far a good majority of the time due to oversight. now if you ask if there's anymore in stock its 100% guarantee its out of stock on anything in the store. I think things will never be as awesome as it was for action figures back in 1986. With a growing market for more tech toys and a smaller market for 80's nostalgia theme toys like G.I. Joes, Transfomers and Marvel Secret Wars I see that Star Wars and only movie related toys will be stocked regularly because they have proved that they can sell on the film's merit alone. I wouldn't mind web exclusive toy waves geared specifically towards collectors but the availability and shipping rates would have to be reasonable.

Blackman2005, you have a greater appreciation for Walmart than I do. With the exception of the great price reduction of 2010, they are MORE expensive than the competition for Joes (and unless a price cut, most other action figures), they have often less stock on the pegs, and they are the worst at having prices and clearances fluctuate wildly between the stores. Target is pretty consistent. One Walmart near me STILL has ATSTs at regular prices, yet a few miles away they are all gone because of a clearance.

We have six Walmarts in my city, and only one of them is worth going into. |

Alright, whoever mentioned the headswap between Mr Fantastic and the Human Torch figures. Thank you. I must've completely zoned out not realizing how much better Reed's flat-nosed head would look on a longer, leaner body.
Well, I did see a collection of the Skrull wave today. Hanging in a comic shop for way too much. Glad I didn't find the Death Angel I went searching for there. Quote:

The Dewbacks and ATSTs around here got sent to Ross. I popped in Walmart after work and this is what the toy section consisted of:
Transformers: 15 or so Mudflaps Marvel Universe: Nothing Star Wars: Apparently they got a vintage wave in, only thing left was one Snowbi-Wan. GI Joe: PoC vehicles and 2 RoC single figures DCUC: Nothing Toy shopping around here is fun! -.-
