I am going to paint soon with a hairdryer method I read about. Also going to soak the spraypaint in some warm water. I'll start a work in progress thread with picks when I start. I was going to make 2 or 3 of them. (i bought a lot of ram/bubble packs) Quote:
Well you have take it partly apart and hand paint it as there are no real screws to go after. The seat and both saddlebags pop off. The RAM's exahaust vents also pop off easily. This leaves carefully painting around the back brakelight, steering wheel, and by the wheels themselves. That's really not too bad even for the shakiest of hands. CobraStickers should have stickers for it.
Take your time, use small brushes, and use toothpicks for really tight spots. Quote:
off to do more homework. check back laters.

Technically she isn't dead...but she needs to adventure with the Exiles some more first.

I found a non-lipstick Sentry first and then later all I ever saw was brown lip Sentry. lol. So the non-lip made it into the tubs and then the shorthaired one I did after with Ren Duke. Spent most of the evening cleaning up. Found the Thunderball head, so the Wrecking Crew is whole again and swapped the 3rd Three-in-One Phoenix to have a FutFound Sue head so that all three girls match now. The weirdest things get buried away. Two PoC Red card CCs that had been opened for parts but never filed into the fodder bins. The PoC Blue card CC (with extra head) that didn't make it into the collection tubs yet. Two Temple SEs for custom work. A couple of Hulkbusters. An extra Apoc & comic Iron Monger I kept out to mix with Joes for some pics. Multiple ziplocks of fodder that are now in the bins properly. ME Cobra Stinger parts. All the little Tron Legacy mini-scene pieces I picked up on clearance including three arcade units. A pair of movie Astro Boys with arms swapped so each has a cannon arm. Two dozen customs which are now filed away in the proper Joe bins including a full baggie of 16 ME Cobra Invasors. Crazy how things get moved around and then "lost" for awhile.

The Golden Age of Army Building was when they had 25th at Family Dollar for $3. It was an epic time. |

FD at $3 is nice, but the only thing they offered me was more BATs. I got some, I hooked others up with some, but it wasn't that grand of a case overall with who was in it for army builders.

I disagree, actually. The golden age of army building was when 25th just started and Joes were $4.99 everywhere. Endless supply of Cobra Troopers and Officers on the pegs.

I got tons of B.A.T.s at TJ Maxx. Plus many more Eels at Big Lots. I hope those stores will have lots of Hydra troopers.

i always feel like I need more BATS...and Blue Shirts, CG's, Vipers, Green Shirts, and Pit Commandos. The strong focus right now is on ZV though.

I started collecting around 2009. I wasn't around for the beginning of the 25th line so I missed that period. I sure sounds good though I don't remember Joes being $4.99... I bought a nearly complete loose 25th collection from Craigslist and never looked back. Best collecting decision ever. |
