For the room...
I feel that I am making a rookie game system mistake. I got a Wii for my daughter for Xmas, but I haven't taken it out and tested it to make sure I have all the wires I need for a HD TV. Does anyone tests the systems before they give it to their children? I think I shold unwrap it and test it out. Does the Wii need anything else, or is it a straight connect?

This is a very true statement, but I can't stop watching the tracking sites on excepted delivery days. I stress the shit out of myself worrying about if the stupid mail people will actually put the packages in the right mailbox. 95% they get it right, but yesterday was another example of a human error from a postal worker. I had PIG's package sent to my office, but the mail carrier put it in the wrong company's box in the mail room downstairs. I waited and waited all day and nothing came. Then I started to freak becuase USPS said delivered and I had nothing. Luckily, the woman from the other company brought it over to my mailroom and then it got delivered around 4:20 PM. I hate dealing with the mail system.
But as long as I get it I can deal I guess, still can't help but think it will end up in the wrong place again though. |

Yeah, I put female Loki in my Avi. Sorry for any confusion. I would have done Rogue in both places, ::Ahem:: but she was already spoken for.

Dolf, you should only need the HDMI cable for the Wii if your TV doesn't have traditional RCA (yellow, red, white) inputs. The Wii is NOT a HD device. (or so I was told when I purchased mine when it was first released.)
Your daughter (and you) will enjoy the Wii. When they get to be 10 or so, you'll need a more powerful system.

I think it's a good idea to get the system all setup and then when she opens it you can plug and play. It can connect to the internet too so you can download apps and such. |
