Question for the room...
For those of you who have children, do/did you collect "sets" for them like you collect your MU, Joes, SW, etc? For example, when the 2.5" Strawberry Shortcake series came out about 2 years ago or so, I collected all of them for my daughter. Obviously I am now doing the same for Monster High and I like to get her a lot of Barbies and 2" Lalaoopsies. For my son, who is 2, I am starting the Cars 2 set, but I could see myself getting into Bakugan if likes that or whatever. Long winded, I know, so to summarize...are you as fanatic with your children's toys, collections as your own? |

I "collect" for my kids. Only to later realize, they really didn't need or want all that stuff. And they outgrow and/or move on from everything so fast. I could have bought Mater and Lightning from the first Cars movie and stopped. It got ridiculous trying to get them all so I stopped and the kids lost interest wayyyyy before I stopped. They could care less that there is a new Cars movie now and they are 7 and 4.

Dolf- I did used to collect sets for my boy. He's 11 though and not really into toys at all anymore, I think my toy collecting turned him off of toys because he got tired of going toy hunting with me a long time ago. I did find I was buying him entire sets of anything he showed interest in. He liked monster trucks and I bought EVERY SINGLE hotwheels monster truck for years. Same with Tf animated and many Lego sets. But I found it was more about my collector mentality completing his sets than him really wanting everything.

Anybody have an extra Cable they wanna get rid of at a decent price? And perhaps an Astonishing Wolverine? I found him last week, but the paint app on his nose isn't that great. I've been thinkin about fixing it myself, but I'd rather just have a better one.
