Well, that is true. I built 18 of these pricks and nearly gave up after 1. Trying to align the risers without a second person was proving trying at best. Of course, I am no carpenter.

I cheated a bit. The actual exoskeletal structure are surplus cabinet door remnants so they are already laminated. There's a cool little store by me that sells overstock windows, doors, cabinets, etc. and I picked these up cheap. The actual risers are made from fine pine 1x2 finish trim so they are void of knots, warping, and other general defects. I decided against painting or staining so that the figures didn't pick up any of the finish on the pieces touching the wood. My display room is in my attic and it gets fairly warm in the summer and transfer of paints/varnishes is quite possible so I keep everything to a laminate or bare wood.

So I met the infamous RoG ... nice car! Riot Control's fine craftsmenship of the X-Mansion and tge other MUtant hijinks today. Sorry I missed Tata Tuesday pow wow today and meeting up with Luna today. These HALO runs are killing me. Plenty of the revision waves around...but no wave 17.
