But they all look cool and are getting face time in recent storylines. I know that and I barely follow anymore. Constrictor, Yellowjacket and IM 2020 are solid figures but just too many WTF's for one wave.

1: He HAS joined the Avengers in the last few years.
2: He was produced as a figure in the original Mattel Secret Wars toyline. 3. He's a perennial villain/anti-hero who has been a member of the Masters of Evil among other notable organizations. 4: He's been at the top of Marvel Legends wishlists for the past several years. 5: No kid has any idea who Winter Soldier is. Or Ronin. Or Union Jack. Or Moon Knight. Or half of the MU line, really.

They all look cool. And facetime in recent storylines? Hank Pym or a Skrull as Hank Pym as Yellowjacket has had RIDICULOUS amounts of face time in the past 5 years. Constrictor has had plenty of face time in Initiative. Iron Man 2020 is really the only one that that doesn't apply to.

I'm anxious to see how Thor, Captain America, Avengers and X-men First Calss lines are going to turn out. Happy that we'll be getting a decent original X-Factor line up out of these toys next year.

Okay well like I said I don't follow as closely as you do but I know kids and casuals probably won't like them. Hasbro needs to come up with a better balance per wave in order to sell these.

I throught Hasbro pulled the plug on these two toylines already. Haven't heard of anything new being made for them for the rest of the year. Too bad though, I wondered why is MU still getting a Mary Jane and a Red & Gold Spiderman when there is a Spiderman line available which made me think the line was axed. The IM: Armored Adventures toys been stale since last year Fall timeframe. The entire concept was an epic fail. Good thing Hasbro stopped making those Wolverine and the X-men action figures last year cause they where basically overpriced happy meal toys. If you can remember those Batman 3.75" figures that came with McDonalds happy meals in 1995 you'll see that these figures are of the same quality.

And what, exactly, makes these any less appealing than any of the other characters Hasbro has released that aren't A-list names like Spider-Man or Wolverine? Hell, Arno Stark may not be Tony but to children and casual collectors it's just another armor for the armory.

I'm actually stoked about Constrictor. That's one thing about the MU line I DO like is all the B and C list characters we get that you never expected to see a figure of. Its nice. Besides, Hasbro said that the movie lines draw a bigger crowd and that's a bigger focus. So they throw the "comic book guy" fans a bone once in a while in the smaller MU line. I say thank you.

I just don't think they'll sell as well as others. Also decision makers might not pick up the wave similar to the Vision, Warpath, Jean Grey wave because they'll feel the character selection is weak. I'll get them, but I'm not sure the case pack out is a good one.

And you still haven't actually expressed why you don't think they'll sell as well as other lesser known characters which have been produced in the line so far. |
