We always post pics of our hauls and collections over here, and admittedly the amount of sh1t some people have are quiet impressive.
However, I was looking to pick up some Macross/Robetech stuff the other day, since before Joe came back, that was what me and my friends really wanted to collect. I was completely floored by how much the stuff that used to sell for $100 when anime kiosks were all over the damn mall, have risen to; while, the newer stuff are just priced out of the park. This is when I realized that I, as someone who collects 3.75 action figures, and worse yet, from retail, no matter how much collection accumulates, am stil on the lowest people on the rung of the collector ladder. |

Speaking of Robotech, I was seriously tempted to pick up a new remastered DVD edition of the First Macross war at Wal-mart this morning. It was $12.99 for the first series (Macross) but I do already have a bunch of DVDs from when they used to be only a few episodes per disc. Does anyone know if it's worth picking this up? More importantly, will they be releasing the Robotech Masters and Invid Wars discs someday soon?

I just sold off all my old GI Joe and Transformers DVDs at my yard sale over the weekend. I tried to sell a ton of paperbacks and hardcover books, but no one wanted to touch them even at $0.25 each.

At the end of our garage sales we just put a 'free' sign out and see what else goes. VHS, books, and kids puzzles are always left behind.

We ended up taking all the leftover clothes and shoes to goodwill. I put up an offer in my BST thread for the books (tons and tons of almost every Star Wars expanded universe book) at really cheap prices. I will donate all the books leftover to the local library.

I usually look for books at yard sales. Its just rare that I ever find any for sale that I want.
