Wal-Mart seems to be the only retailer that orders revision cases for this line. Every once in a blue moon maybe Toys R Us, but around here this line "feels" a lot like the 25A Joe line...if you don't find an assortment when it first hits and clean it out, you might never see it again. Meanwhile the carryover figures from previous waves pegwarm for months, preventing restocking.

My Target moved the Marvel and DC stuff to the next aisle over. It's across from the Thomas the Tank Engine stuff at my store now.

Yes, that's why I made my comment, meaning that obviously it was not the case.

pick an choose which characters from the Hasbro Marvel Universe are worth purchasing. While there are vast improvements now in the brand than when it first started it could be way better in quality and quantity/distribution.
For instance, I'm unsure if Hasbro itself is toy making company or just a brand name distributor of many sub contracted companies. Are there smaller mass producing companies that need Hasbro's branding to sell toys? Or is it that it is one company with different components that produce things differently? Why is it that figure prices significantly vary amongst Marvel brands? The sculpting for 3.75" figures should be uniformly the same but its clearly different for each toyline. Example, take the Movie Based Marvel 3.75" figures like IM2 and Wolverine:XMO; obviously they are made by the same people and the articulation, paint and quality of the figures are same for each line. Conversely, Marvel Universe features no uniformity amongst the figures that are produced and are not of the same sturdiness/quality of the other Marvel associated 3.75" toys. The figures have disproportionate torso/headsculpt/meat hands/diaper crotch issues. They are significantly more expensive than IM2 figures ($9.00 >>> $6.96) but have noticeable quality control issues. My Black Widow figure's crotch immediately broke once I took it out the package. My Dr. Doom's left knee pad was missing. On here I read about a few screw ups about this brand solely. Hopefully, in the next two years Hasbro, will reconfigure the sculpting and give us better versions of Punisher, Daredevil, Iron fist, Bullseye, Hulk and Wolverine.

Also, the mark up at places like BBTS for these figures is insane. They must know how hard it is to come by these figures at times and are taking advantage of it. |

I brought this up on the Iron Man 2 figures' board, since Target has been kind of rubbish when it comes to stocking the MU line, what do we think that means for the exclusive two-packs that are supposedly due out this spring? Will they still even bother?

I'm really excited about getting the Wave 8 figures in the mail form HTS! Havokk is one of my favorite characters from the mutant series'. I Don't really like his modern costume tho. Anyone know of a classic costume release? I assume it will some exclusive I won't be able to afford.

Target will actually restock, believe it or not, if they sell out. Their automated ordering just seems to much stricter than say, Walmarts, so even just a couple of figures is enough to block a reorder.
I've even seen them restock DCUC, which I thought for sure they had abandoned. So I think we'll see those 2-packs, as they should be a different listing.

Yeah, I wish they'd loosen up their ordering practices a little bit. I realize most everything is automated these days, but there should be some kind of override in place to where a person actually surveys what's on the shelves and notices that the same stuff has been sitting there for awhile and reorders. Otherwise a crap case assortment that has a few Iron man figures from last year can hold up re-stocking indefinitely.
