Really wish they would make some new characters before tearing up alternate versions of the same character's over and over. Barring the story line, 20 Spidermans, 5 Cyclops, 15 Wolverines, and a couple of Jean Grey's Anatomy all look the same next to each other on the shelf.
Of course, I guess I shouldn't expect people to bother focusing on the positive any more than they should expect Hasbro to abandon their long-standing business models for selling action figure brands. |

Of the two Spider-Man figures that are announced as coming soon(ish), both of them can qualify as alternate characters (Iron Spider-Man and Dark Spider Man), and one is labelled as such. likewise the one upcoming Wolverine figure that we know of is not Logan, but his son Daken. MU is doing pretty good with the character rehashes guys. It's way more toned down than with most lines, and if you count exclusives the most heavily recycled character is actually Iron Man (albeit only by one figure over Spider-Man), and most people don't mind multiple variants of him as much (notice neither of you mentioning him). |

There's a whopping 3 Wolverines in the Marvel Universe line so far, and 6 Spider-Man figures (not counting exclusives). People are drastically exaggerating the character recycling in this line.

Yeah, nevermind the 60 or so figures they've released in the line that aren't rehashes. I guess those just don't count.

I'm not crazy about some of the heads of the longer figures. I think Jean Grey head looks squished. Outside of some bad paint jobs I have no problems. I like that some of the no names are getting face time. I like how the JSA are getting face time in the DCUC line because they already did the regular guys.

Can someone add this to the checklist of MU figures? - Marvelous Forums Did this ever come out or is this like the phasing Vision and Warpath variants that will likely never see the light of day. |
