Which reminds me, does anyone have a good way of loosening the glue on the Fury rocket pack? My figure's shoulder patch was half missing and I'd like to trade him out for a basic SHIELD figure from the 3-pack. Or for that matter, do the arms pull out easily enough using the hot water trick? |

S.H.I.E.L.D. agent body, Fury Trigate head, pick a flying jetpack. Instant Fury. Screw you, Marvel; and your arm twisting, wallet abusing ways!

I have all the new set, and a couple of spares. Missing Sunfire and Vision from previous wave. Nothing on pegs but Iron Poopah.

Are the Marvel Showdown figures any good, as I might be able to pick up a Namor and shark set and I'm wondering if I should bother or not?

Thor (Just compairing Oringial costume, Modern thor is a different animal), Thing, Colossus, Daredevil (Both costumes), Magneto, Mr Fantastic, Green Goblin (Note: Goblin's glider is better for Hasbro though), Venom, Silver surfer, Namor, dr Octopus (from spidey animated) are far superior to anything Hasbro has put out with these respective characters. Spider-man (all versions), Punisher, Dr. Doom, Human Torch (cause they are all crap) Juggernaught (Just based on the picutures), Hulk (I really think both have dropped the ball with hulk, sorry) are about equal (but different) to the hasbro releases thus far. Iron man, Captain America, Wolverine, Cyclops, were handled better by Hasbro. A special note: Electra and Invisible woman are both crap as well Ghost Rider, Mole Man, Beast ect have yet to be done/seen so I left them off the list. However it should be pointed out Hasbro is way ahead on character selection as well. |

I think the sculpt on Namor is great, but the arm pops off of my SHS version. It pops back on but still drives me crazy.
MU Namor is not without its flaws, but it fits in better with MU and doesn't break as easily imo. |

It bugs me when people say break cause that implys unfixable and that simply is not the case, and honestly I have had just as many problems with MU and "breakage" as I have with SHS (Hobgoblin and Thor "broke" right out of the package, Hobby still does when I put him on his glider, every time).
I am not saying SHS is perfect but really the "pop off" part was a part of marvel legends at the time and no one says the same about them. It did make SHS much more customizable too which I think was on purpose. |
