I am disturbed that we have yet to see hide nor hair of any attempt at comic-inspired figures from the Thor line. I was rather looking forward to the possibility of some Comic Thor and Co. figures with the superior articulation and detailing of the movie-lines (as opposed to the Marvel Universe line).
However the scuttlebutt has been that retailers are not very keen on this line (particularly compared to Captain America) so at this point I'm thinking at best we're going to get an X-Men Origins: Wolverine sized line (basically about four waves and done). Ah well, I'll still likely buy the movie characters (albeit likely only one or two Thors), but I really want to see a "comic series" to go with it. I just grow more doubtful by the day that we're getting one. Hopefully Toy Fair will prove me wrong, though. |

I'm really excited to start seeing some reviews of that wave though, it's got some really great figures. I wonder if we'll still be getting that X-Force 3 pack. |

Well lets examine the Thor mythos and understand what we might see for figures...
Odin, Thor, Loki, Baldur, Sif, Enchantress, Executioner, The Warriors Three, Trolls, Gnomes, Fafnir, Fenris, Jane, Donald Blake, Beta Ray. Who else? And while we're at it, who can we see for Cap/Hydra?

I want a Thor Movie Odin so I can have a 3.75 scale Anthony Hopkins to hang around with my 3.75 scale Capt. Picard and Sam "Nick Fury" Jackson. They can all gang up against Channing "Duke" Tatum and beat some acting skills into him. Makes me wish I picked up a Prince of Persia figure so Jake Gyllenhal can get the same treatment.
