I was going to stay out of this line (almost) completely, but when Toy Faire showed us that the 25th line is pretty much drying up to be replaced by only a few good things from the movie, well...
I'm trying to collect childhood favorites, and anyone who's made an appearance in Frank Castle's world. So far that would be: *Spider-man *Captain America *Daredevil *Bullseye *Hulk *Wolverine *Iron Man And that's about it for now.

I found both Iron Man figures and Wolverine today (among pretty much all of the others but I left them on the pegs). Man, Iron Man's legs are all sorts of floppy when they're bent at the knee. Cool figure but poor execution. Why couldn't Hasbro have made exact copies of the articulation standards that have been working so well with the GI Joe line...? I hope Wolverine is better.

I still can't find these at retail around here yet. Guess we won't see them down here until March like they were supposed to drop.

is it me, or do the marvel figs seem like they're lighter than joes?
i might be in the minority, but i think the wolverine figs seem more durable than the regular marvel figs. |

also, what does everybody think of the different articulation?
I'm not a fan of the swivel bicep on the Marvel figs (whose arm bends like that?). I'm also not a fan of the hip ball thingy on the wolvie figs. I want legs with screws in them like the joes so that they're easier to customize. Finally, I want head balls that are the same size on all figures (across all lines from SW to Marvel to Wolvie to Joe). Crotchety old man rant over,...I love the new Marvel Universe and Wolvie figs. I found them in the wild yesterday and almost had to go home right after to change my shorts. |

Hey you and me think alike.I love Punisher and those are exactly the same characters I will be nitpicking but I have a strange feeling I will get pulled in and addicted because thats what I said with 25th Joes more than a year ago and I became an addicted army builder.Punisher,Wolverine,Spider-Man and Captain America are top on my list.I also want Ghost Rider,Blade and my gut feeling is I will be trying to complete an X-Men team,The Avengers and Spidey villains plus if they make that 80's Beyonder figure I will get him as well brings back memories of my childhood when I used to collect the Secret Wars comics and figures |

Got all of the X-men Origins: Wolverine figures I wanted from wave 1 today from Wal-Mart. (Blue/Yellow, Gold/Brown Wolvies, Weapon X, Deadpool and Gambit) The temptation to get them all in one shot was enough to pay the $8.44 price tag.
I love them all except for Gambit. He looks great but he's an epic fail when it comes to the articulation. No Ankle or Wrist movement. Which is pretty lazy since the wrist articulation would have been super easy considering the jacket sleeves are so big all they needed was a hole and the hands to have a peg on them! The fact that every other figure I grabbed from this line has articulation on the ankles and wrists just baffels me as to why Gambit doesn't have that. The other issue I have with him is that the cards don't easily fit in his left hand. They fit great in his right hand, but since there's no wrist articulation, the cards are pointed downward looking like the energy flames are shooting for his own feet. Everything else about the figures is awesome. The two Wolverines have different heads and lower legs. Deadpools sword sheathes and gun holster work great and I love the fact that all of Wolvie's claws are one solid piece with black painted inbetween each claw. The paint on the claws isn't always perfect but the illusion works enough for me to be happy. |
