Iron Man Armored Adventures Wave 1 Figures - Marvel - MarvelousNews.com Now that I can see them close up I can comment :-) They don't appear to have much articulaton. Iron Man's arms don't bend at the elbow or at the waste. It's hard to tell from the images but they might be 6" figures. |

Which would make them all that much worse. A six inch figure with such terrible articulation is a great step backward. Still, like the Wolverine and the X-Men figures, I suspect these'll be in the four inch range. The knees also don't appear to bend.

I'm reasonably sure these are along the same lines as the "Wolverine and the X-Men" figures. Which are not very good.

i'll never understand why toy companies can't include at least a basic level of articulation (bending at knees and elbows). hasbro proved back 1984 that you can make a figure that is reasonably articulated and safe for kids--why can't they do that 25 years later?
i can't imagine adding a few more points of articulation would ruin the figures, but i know it would make things more palatable for us collector-types. |

These are considerably cheaper to produce. Five or six pieces that "pop" together with relative ease and little chance of being screwed up. Plus you can sell for the same price as all the other four inch figures because parents don't know the difference.

I spotted the dark-washed Human Torch and Spider-man figures at Target today. I almost picked them up, but I noticed that the Torch didn't match the Thing's costume at all. Spider-man looked ok, but not different enough to warrant spending another $8.50.

I spotted the 2 variant figures today as well. It looks like they're starting to turn up everywhere. In addition, the pegs were full of waves 2 and 3. Is it possible that Habro is finally catching up on distribution? It's good to see the figs in greater numbers, but I hope they don't overdo it like they did with some of the Joe waves last year. Last thing we need is another line with pegs clogged with early waves and stores holding back on orders.
