Well, somehow I thought the second set was the Storm one.. I don't know if it's the masculine physique of Mr. Fantastic or the robotic looks of Ultron that reminded me of Storm but...
/facepalm Seriously, I thought it was the Storm set. I don't know how I did that. Anyways, I got three MU Iron Man figures at my Kmart for the 5 each.. I didn't have any of the sculpt yet.. and figured hey, why not, I don't have them.. I haven't seen them cheaper. |

I doubt that it is still too early to say but I bet it will be a set thet gets re released with future revisions of the next wave of 2 packs.I asked an employee at Wal mart if he could tell me when they would be stocking the MU comic packs the other day and he told me after scanning the barcode they had 24 cases on backorder. He also said there are only 4 per case but still 24 cases I see the Avengers and Dark Pheonix set warming pegs at a wm near me in the near future

Either way, the highly sought after Phoenix pack is getting a re-release in the next set, as 1 per case.... because Hasbro in their infinite wisdom (and neverending quest to piss us off) decided that they needed to fit THREE (3!) of the Sentry/Spider-man pack in there. Secret Wars Comic Two-Packs 2010 Series 04 - Case of 8 - Marvel Figures (Hasbro) Marvel Universe 3.75" Secret Wars 2-Packs

Wait, I got it:

Quesada thought having Spidey married to MJ made the character unrelatable to younger audiences just coming into the franchise from the movies. IMO, it's a betrayal to all those people that followed the storylines for years since it invalidated a significant portion the mythos they had invested their time following, see generally Abrams' Star Trek. I mean, I thought that was what the function of the Ultimate Universe, rebooted continuity for more recent readers?
Moral of the story: 1. Peter Parker is now and forever a douche bag. 2. Parker is Marvel's poster boy for 'Peter Pan Syndrome". He'll never grow up and take responsibility, even though power and responsibility are his frakking motto. 3. Marvel believes that instead of accepting the hard realities of life, that instead of being a Husband and living up to the vows made on a wedding day, that instead of being a father to one's children it is better to wish really hard and make all the inconvenient stuff go away. 1. House of M/M-Day : 90-99% of all mutants die or are de-powered. 2. Superhuman Registration Act/Civil War: Heroes vs Heroes. Captain America and friends vs Iron Man and pals. Bad guys hide watch from the bleacher. Tony Stark WINS. Captain America gets assassinated with bullets that cause time travel instead of lead poisoning. 3. Secret Invasion: Skrulls come to Earth and play 'Dress-Up'. Skrulls try to take over the world by pretending to be superheroes. Ms Marvel kills all the Skrull by herself and saves the day. Skrulls learn that using Deadpool to make more Skrulls is a bad idea with often hilarious yet disastrous results. The world gets pissed off at Tony Stark for letting Skrulls invade the planet. 4. Dark Reign: Norman Osborne gets Tony's old job. Normy and his evil pals play 'Dress-Up', pretending to be good guys. Tony continues living La Vida Loca. At some point Captain America recovers from being assassinated. Sentry plays tug-of-war with Ares. Ares looses. There you go. You are now all caught up on the Marvel Universe. |

Sounds like Spidey has a little bit of the "Grandma's Boy" syndrome. I wonder if he blazes late at night in her basement?
Thanks for the rundown Bujo. |
