I prefer to use a hair dryer, because boiling the plastic can change it's chemical composition and make it brittle over time. To each their own though, most people use water.
Hey Paul.. do you have any older HML figures? lol.

I really didn't get into th whole ML and & I would pick and choose what i wanted.
I have mostly girls from Toy Biz. I did get that Deadpool/Cable/Juggernaut wave as well. Once Hasbro took over, I got an occasional SDCC or 2-Pack until the most recent re-launch. Nothing extra or special to trade I don't think....

boil and pop is good for feet and lower legs and elbow/lower arms... (also good for some SW figures shoulder- but you can also end up ripping the nub off as well- so just a warning ) Cracking the torso has about a thousand different options- I just wedge a razor into the seam of the MU torso under the chest and keeping pushing until there is a crack (which means I've sliced through the peg) depending on how loose it is i may do the same to the other side or go straight to taking a flat head screwdriver and stuffing it into the torso and slowly twisting it until the torso pops apart (slowly though- i wrenched the phoenix torso too quick and the neck was glued very tight and it broke rather than popped) if I had gone slower I could have noticed the neck was not separating and could have razored it... but every customizer has their own way of doing it. try a few options and use whatever works best for YOU!

Since they aren't going to redo most of them I figured I should start looking around for the decent ones. That's cool Lo. I have an apartment.. lol.. we have uh.. hmm.. a stove top.

HML = Hasbro Marvel Legends? I think the HML line really found its footing with the "Face-Off" Series. I think eveything past that point has been really good.

Meh. A lot of their proportions are articulation is poor imo, plus the lower quality plastic and paint apps didn't help. There are nice HML figures, they're just far and few between imo. You can see the evolution with two packs they did imbetween HML & RML. Some of them are really good (Winter Soldier/Black Widow) and some are still shotty (Elektra/Ronin). Again it's just my opinion. I think Hasbro still has a lot of improving to do, there are a lot of inconsistencies in the new stuff but they are making good strides.

depends on if I could crap them out as quick and easy as Dust, X, Surge, and RS... i set out to quit doing customs for a bit and suddenly all these part swaps are popping up all over... Storm has satlled out while I'm sculpting hair for the different heads and Jean grey needs too much tape work for me to start...

@Lo...you were right about Surge and the X-symbol. I was thinking that she had one in this pic, but I was wrong.
It is from X-Men: Legacy #262. I really like this page... Which reminds me...how would you make a Pixie?

Any of the over-articulated ML figures (whatever wave/mfg they came from) are junk. too many POA and too thin arms/legs/etc... It's just so dang hit or miss with the ML figures- and for someone like myself that like to complete teams--- holy heck! still- I'm being picky and getting the new ones I like and will NOT be suckered into buying figures just for the BAF part!
