now stay far far far away from ultimatum. the book... its like marvel realized they had lost the magic of how cool the ultimateverse was and knew they were floundering and had written themselves into a corner... this was a really bad attempt to wash the slate clean... and it fails so badly... :( |

I like it so far, but I have a feeling I won't spend much piecing together the various Ultimates volumes.
Cool Lo, thanks for the heads up. I might just read those volumes and get the readers digest version of the less interesting ones, lol.

glad you had a chance to read it. ultimates vol.2 and ultimates 2 2 vol.1keep up the momentum. ultimates 2 vol.2 slips bit- like they tried to tie things up too quickly (if i remember right the book was always running really late)
now stay far far far away from ultimatum. the book... its like marvel realized they had lost the magic of how cool the ultimateverse was and knew they were floundering and had written themselves into a corner... this was a really bad attempt to wash the slate clean... and it fails so badly... :( The ultimate universe to me has always been the bad fanfic/slash-fic universe, with a handful of good stories.

heres a question then. im working on wasp today. should full size wasp have wings? if so- they will be fixed. i want them to sit at and angle and the only way i can do that is to affix them i place. if i were to set them flat i could pin them and allow them to be opened up- but it would be flat, and thats not the look im going for... so should i add the wings or no?

once they opened it up to ultimate team-up it was a pretty quick crash and burn. with tighter editing and the strengh to tell top artists "no" they could have kept it the 'real-world' version of 616 that Ultimates 1 and early Ultimate SpiderMan set-up.

Ah I see. So far I've enjoyed what I've read. Although I have little to no interest in anything outside of Ultimates really. Spiderman is okay, but I don't really read it. X-Men I could care less about, and anything else is completely off my radar.
There isn't a way you could make them removable? I haven't gotten that far in the Ultimates world, but I've never seen full size Wasp with wings. However, seeing as she is a mutant I wouldn't be surprised if she could choose to have wings at any size. So it's up to how you want to display her. |

lol, basically. Why not just do something like DCUC Hawkman except toss a peg on there so you can take the wings off whenever you want? Otherwise I would just leave her sans wings for the time being.

I read Avengers X-Saction, Uncanny X-Men #9, and Gen Hope #17 (last issue) over the weekend, and boy am I on a Hope overload
***Spoilers*** Every book is tieing into AvX right now and every one of them is pulling Hope a different way. This event is going to be exciting. I liked the end of A:XS #4. Nice to see Cable coming back full power. If you read #4 and UXM, then you can see how the Avengers are going to take the lead in the telepath war and weapons war against the XMen in AVX. First, Cap wanted the cargo ship from A:XS with tons of future tech weapons, then in UXM, Emma help Stark make that anti-telepath helmet for Red Hulk. That is certainly going to come back and bite them in the ass. **End Spoliers*** .
