So what is this Turbo Tank? I might be interested if it's released.

Oh, yeah! I would probably buy that! But I still want a BMF Slave 1 and AT-AT.

Holy cow. I should have just logged onto toynewsi.com before like I did just now, and they show in the Star Wars section that the Turbo Tank will be released. Geez.

I doubt Hasbro will redo the AT-AT as a new mold but I suspect the old one will get re-released eventually, though it may be years down the road. It might get a new head or something. Or they might make a "Shadow" AT-AT in black or something.
Supposedly Slave I is due for a new mold. I dunno...I'm hoping that with the success of the BMF and the AT-TE that Hasbro will do a Sail Barge, though that's not an "aggressive" ship. My ultimate would be a Star Destroyer, though they've said they'd never make that...but Hasbro is known for saying they'll never do things they then turn around and do. It wasn't that long ago they were saying "no new ship molds-not cost effective." Last edited by Barefoot Jedi; 01-16-2009 at 05:13 PM.. |

this would be a Hasbro decision and not a Lucas decision. I assure you, George Lucas does not have a say in every toy that is released. Hasbro owns the licensing rights for Star Wars action figures, which evidently encompass At-At's considering Hasbro has already released an At-At toy. so they have the rights to do so, and can do so whenever they please without seeking any further permission.

Do you all think it's possible that he will allow some Star Wars toys to be re-released? What I'm getting at is that now that I have a little more cash overall to collect, I'm trying to pick up stuff I missed but always wanted, either as a kid or a young adult trying to make it through school when some good stuff was coming out. For instance, I always wanted an AT-AT, but even the retail price of $50-60 was too high for me at one time. I looked on evilBay, and I saw them for $120-160, which I could theoretically afford, but I don't really wanna pay that much for toys, especially given Lucas' business savvy for re-releasing and repainting things to make more dough. Do any of you forsee him releasing classic vehicles yet again such as the AT-AT or Slave 1 or should I just suck it up and get them where I can find them?

Save for the Turbo Tank... based on the pics from the mock-up (sp?) box at the Canadian Toy and hobby fair it's big enough that it launches a clone wars speeder bike.... that might be pretty cool
