Well my usual Wal Mart has been a barren womb, lately.
But my TRU has been stocking like crazy with Revision Waves. Last edited by Phorpus; 12-22-2007 at 05:37 PM.. |

I keep finding Zartans and Beachheads
Also of note, in the 2 TRUS near me, the whole army aisle is bare! Looks like people really do like military vehicles, yo Hasbro! You listening? The only vehicles that are really left with multiples on the shelves are Sigma 6 Dragonhawks |

Joes are gone at my Wal-Mart (along with just about every oter toy, Christmas rush came to My local Wal-Mart and MAN I feel bad for my Wife, because Toys is her Dept. And the shelves will be pretty bare to after the Holiday.

Hasbro has really blown it this time. All those Christmas dollars they could have had and no product on the shelves. Sometimes i wonder what kind of idiot's make the decisions up there. Distribution and the amount of product being produced obviouslyhas not been fixed even though they have been claiming it has for three months. I mean my wal mart got Five cases of wave five about two weeks ago, the whole lot of them sold in less than 5 days. How in the world the stores or hasbro, who ever is responsible for not keeping product on the shelves, doesn't fix this. I mean they sure can keep hundreds of the crap action figure lines ordered i.e. Power Rangers, and those stupid legendary comic hero's based on the worlds most obscure comic characters. Hey hasbro why couldn't we get the over saturation with joe you gave us with spiderman? Those will never all sell! Say hello to the clearance bin.

I think it's probably because GI Joe is so popular right now. I mean 5 cases of a toy line like Spider-man or Power Rangers will probably last a month or more, however 5 cases of Joes will typically last a week or so.
Also I think Target may be holding on to all their figures for the Dec. 30th reset in hopes that they can sell off all the Bravo Force figures they have. (That's just my uneducated theory though, if any Target employee's wanna step in and correct me, I welcome it) In both of these cases, the blame for lack of product falls on the retailer not ordering enough |

Just to see if there was anything new, but without any expectations, I stopped by a Wal-Mart last night. The G.I. Joe figures weren't the only thing missing; they had no Transformers at all. I know these have been popular in the holiday shopping season, but wow. That was really surprising.

Right now Transformers is the #1 boys toy line this year so it isn't very surprising to me at least that they are gone, although I thought I would see a few more than I have. G.I. Joe shouldn't be a surprise either. Although I have had better luck with Joe's than Transformers they have been hard to find since the start so why would it be a surprise to anyone that during the Christmas rush they would be harder to find?
The retailers are to blame for G.I. Joe because they under ordered. As for Transformers it is probably a little under ordering but more because of the popularity of the movie. Hasbro probably has a part in both cases but not a lot.
