Was looking to get TF figures but cant really determine the scale from the way they are labeled. For example, how big are voyager class compared to leader class? Or how tall in inches are they? I mostly buy toys online so its a bit hard to determine their height and want to buy some that are taller than the joes that I have by more than just an inch or two.

There really isn't an easy way to answer this question, if we are talking about the Transformers animated line figure size can vary greatly in each class. For the most part leader class figures are larger then the voyager or deluxe. The voyager and deluxe figures are a wash for example deluxe lockdown is taller then voyager bulkhead.
If there are particular figures you are interested in knowing the size I could probably do a quick check of collection and give you a rough idea. Havok |

There isn't really a set "scale" or "height" per se. This is pretty much how it goes:
- Legends (the smallest, only about 2" tall) - Scout (somewhat small, usually 3.5-4" tall maybe?) - Deluxe (Basic $9.99 price point, 4-5" tall, but it varies) - Voyager (Larger $19.99 price point, 6-8" tall, but again, it varies) - Leader (Larger than Voyager, $39.99 price point, 8-10" tall). - Supreme (Biggest class I think, normally 10-12" tall) I may be a bit off on those, but that's essentially it. There is also the Ultra Class which is mainly used in the Universe line right now that retail for $25-$26 and are about 8" tall.
The best you can do gntdrag is post what you are looking to buy and we can post the height of the figure for you. If you want them more than a few inches just about any figure Voyager and up will do but some Voyagers (mainly Animated Bulkhead and Lugnut) can be around the height of a Deluxe Class figure.

Thanks everyone for your responses, especially to general hawk for providing something of a scale chart.
As for specific a figure I was looking for an opitimus, megatron, or starscream to start. Also saw leader class movie brawl, how would you guys rate him? |

If you are talking about the movie figures here are the rough measurements from feet to the top of the figures head.
Voyager Class Starscream (try to get the Target Deep Space silver version if you can): 7 3/8" Leader Class Optimus Prime (Premiums Series version is the best): 9 1/4" Leader Class Megatron (again look for Premium version): 9 1/4" Leader Class Brawl (not a bad figure, I like it but the turret can be a pain to get to stay straight in robot mode): 9"

Did you decide what you wanted to do gntdrag. If the figures above aren't what you were think of let me know. I have a lot of the Transformers released in the USA since R.I.D. with the exception of some exclusives, mainly Botcon stuff, and some of the none mainline sub-line figures like Activators, Battle Bumpers, Fast Action Battlers, and the like. Let me know if there is any you want measurements on and I will see what I can do.
As for Brawl, disregard what I said about the turret. I was using my Deep Desert Brawl and the turret must have been broken or misassembled in some way since my first Leader Brawl, the green one, doesn't have that issue.
