I remember Christmas 21 years ago. I woke up and under the Christmas tree was a D'compose from Inhumanoids. Santa had brought me this Inhumanoid figure. I am an only child and I got alot of toys that year. But I won't forget that figure under the tree.
It was so cool. It was like a rotting dinosaur crow. But a few weeks later, its head broke off. Over the years I lost the body and eventually threw it away. But I kept the head. I wish I knew about epoxy when I was 12, I would have repaired it. I picked up a replacement on ebay this year, in a lot with the two other Inhumanoid monsters. Tendril and Metlar are cool, but nothing compared to D'compose. Once I clean up my room, I plan on leading him and his army of dinosaurs against my cobras. But does anyone remember Inhumanoids? I think if Hasbro wants to do anything again. It should be these figures. What kid wouldn't want giant Lovecraft inspired monsters? |

Do I remember Inhumanoids? Yes
This is the top of a bookcase in my room (Sorceress is my fiancee's) As a child I never got any of the big monsters but I always liked D-Compose and I saw him one day at a flea market. He was like $5 or something. So I saved up money for the longest time and finally got back to the flea market only to find that he was sold already. Then a little while later I saw another one at a yard sale in a K-Mart parking lot (Again, I had no money) Years later (Around 2003) I'm in Kansas City and find an antique mall out there. While looking around I turn a corner and there on the floor is D-Compose and Metlar! They had no price tags but I grabbed them anyway and clutched them close to my chest as I searched the rest of the mall. (I also found a Voltron Castle of Lions that day) I think they both wound up being $10 each. I now have all 3 monsters, Magnokor (with a damaged box) all 4 Earth Corps and both vehicles. Just need to get the 3 Trees and both Granittes to have the whole set Too bad the series ended so soon, we almost had 3 more huge monsters added to the toy line |

I was just watching an episode the other day while wrapping presents!!! I loved that show! I always felt that the toy line had so much more in it before they canned it. Ohhh well it lives on in our collections, hearts and hard drives.

Very, very well.
I had all three of the big monsters, Redlen, Granok and Liquidator. I used Metlar, D'Compose and Tendril as Robeasts to fight my Matchbox Voltron. D'Compose was also my favorite. I remember in the cartoon, he had this awesome upside-down big city of the dead underground called Skelweb. I think a cool display would be him and some Army of Darkness skeleton action figures. I also would turn Tendril upside down and position his legs, tails and tentacles in such a way that he became part of the Cobra-La architecture when I played GIJOE The Movie, and would come alive when Golobulus ordered the organisms to defend to the death. I used the Hyve playset from Sectuars and the furry Sectaurs insect monsters Spiderflyer and Trancula as Cobra-La creatures as well. The cartoon also had some monsters and characters not made into toys. I remember Gagoyle was like this decomposing dinosaur. There was at least one other. But Inhumanoids are so awesome! |
