Wow, this thread hasn't had a post in it since 2015! How about we rev the discussion up again? Here's my latest G1 vid, Bumblebee!

I just grabbed the reissue Bumblebee, Gears and Warpath on a whim recently. Remove the nostalgia and they're just as lame as I remember them being. lol But whatever, they look cool on my desk and are a hoot to dick around with. There's something fun about simple, quick transformations...seems like maybe modern t-formers have forgotten that.

I did get my 5 year old nephew the reissue Prime. He loves it. The easy transformation makes the toy for him. He didn't put it down for a week. I'll post a pic when I get home.

I actually found a box of G1 in the closet. Ramjet, Brawn, an insect, little rubber purple pack in figs, a couple others....pretty cool.

I love the decoys. When I was a kid I couldn't figure out what they were, broke silverstreaks legs off trying to use him as an eraser.

Ahh yes decoys. I bought them all for a quarter each from my dim witted cousin back in the 80’s ha.

The kid loves his vintage Prime. His older brothers are well schooled in the Sunbow cartoon but this guy was born and raised after my brother moved so I have to educate him as I see him.

That's awesome! For all their ham-fisted simplicity, there's something magical about those G1 toys that still works on kids. I gave my niece a reissue Gears (she likes trucks) and she couldn't stop messing with it. She even took it to school for show and tell.
