Ahhh, the 80s. For most of us, it was the time we comfortably spent our childhood. Between the Saturday morning cartoons and the riding our bikes outside or exploring the nature around us. The 80s were a good time to be a kid.
But one thing the 80s brought that we are missing today is that any JoeSchmo with some money could make a toyline. After all, toys were what we bought. But some toylines, you kinda wonder what was going through their head when they made it.
I present to you..FOOD FIGHTERS! Thats right, apparently the McDonalds land characters weren't satisfied working for Ronald and decided to break into gi joes armory. What we were presented with were toys that resembled an HR Pufnstuff episode gone awry. You had characters looked like Mayor McCheese and Danny DeVito had somehow had an offspring or the Fry guy with the bad Coca-Cola Spot shades.
But for all their absurdity, they were awesome figures. Oddly, they are on e-bay quite often and many people remember them. My favorite growing up was the chicken leg. He resembled a horror film villain that I've only seen in my nightmares.
Do you remember these strange figures?

I used to buy these for their weapons. They had some really cool machine guns and pistols.

I was working at Kay Bee Toys when these came out.
I remember laughing so hard. First because the donut one was funny as hell, and then two because the home office wanted us to push these on our GI Joe kids.
