Cable without Baby Hope features the same Hopeless X chest piece included in the with Baby Hope packaging, except it is glued on. The packaging pictures also change between Hope and Hopeless versions. The gun detailing, not unlike a B.A.T.'s arms, changes between releases. 017 Angel (Blue/White)
018 Nighthawk
019 Nova (Richard Rider)
020 Hercules ('80s Avengers)
021 Puck (with Snowbird)

** This wave was pushed back as Hasbro re-ordered the release schedule of the Marvel Universe line due to rising production costs in China.

** There is a debate whether Red/White variant Angel was actually intended to go to market. Many sites at SDCC reported a Red/White variant mentioned during the panel and the Comic Shot that comes with Angel features his Red/White variant costume. However, it is also possible some information was misconstrued and actually was referring to the Red/White X-Factor costume Angel wears in the TRU X-Factor Gift Set.

Wave 21 - November 2012

022 Professor X (Blue Suit)
023 Jubilee
024 Blastaar

008 Iron Spider-man (New Card, New paintjob)

** Mysterio's head underneath is based on the supervillain Chameleon. Chameleon wasn't planned to be officially released by Hasbro within the near future so the head was an offering to fans to customize their own. Properly, Chameleon doesn't come with ears and has a solid white head. The ears were sculpted onto the Chameleon head before going into production so it would look like a human head and then casted green to match the rest of the body.

** Silver Surfer has been given an updated paintjob on a Series 5 Multi-language international card. The new version uses a darker glossy opal metallic finish.

** Iron Fist has been given an updated body on a Series 5 Multi-language international card. The new version uses the Wv17 New Avengers body repainted to wear the Classic green uniform in a darker color and a gold sash.

* X-Force Warpath has been given an updated paintjob on a Series 5 Multi-language international card. ** The Goliath figure is based on the cover error in Avengers #51. The cover was printed with Pym's older Blue/Yellow costume, but he is wearing his new Red/Blue costume in actual issue.

Civil War #4 -- Ragnarok / Goliath (Bill Foster)

Masterworks

Wave 1 - August 2010

001 Galactus / Silver Surfer
001 Galactus (Marvel Ultimate Alliance Dark Colors) / Silver Surfer (Translucent) -- Variant

** Galactus and Dark Galactus shipped in seperate cases. Galactus in August, Dark Galactus in October.

** Only TRU carried Galactus at major B&M stores.

** Hasbro Brand Manager Scott George provides the voice of Galactus.

Wave 2 - July 2011

002 Sentinel (Sentinel Squad Colors) / Wolverine (Tiger stripe)
002 Sentinel (Classic) / Wolverine (Tiger Stripe) -- Variant

** Sentinel and Classic Sentinel shipped in seperate cases. Sentinel in July, Classic Sentinel in October.

** The Sentinel figure was actually created before Galactus, but Galactus was chosen for testing the market.

** TRU and WM carried the Sentinel at major B&M stores.

** Classic Sentinel was originally intended to be the Regular release figure for retail with Sentinel Squad colors revealed at SDCC 2010 to be the Variant. A mix-up at Hasbro ended up pushing the less popular Sentinel Squad colors into the Regular slot and drew many complaints from fans.

Wave 3 - Canceled 2013

003 Fin Fang Foom (Orange)

** FFF uses a modified Legends Build-a-Figure FFF body with a new head and cloth shorts.

** FFF was delayed from Summer 2012 to Summer 2013 due to retailers giving shelfspace to the Avengers toyline Helicarrier. Retailers didn't want to shelf two different large Hasbro Marvel items over the Fall season.

** FFF was officially announced as canceled at SDCC 2013.

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends -- Spider-Man / Firestar / Iceman

** TRU Exclusive

** The Chaste Ninja is incorrectly marked as a Hand Ninja. However, a Hand Ninja is red and a Chaste Ninja is white. This same error was also made in the Legends 2-pack line by Hasbro.

** The 70th Anniversary set carried a MSRP $5 higher than the other two sets. Nothing extra was included in the 3-pack compared to the others.

Wave 2 - July 2010

001 Iron Man (Classic Armor) / Black Panther
002 Iron Man (Modern Armor) / Punisher (Jim Lee)
003 Spider-Man / Green Goblin
004 Wolverine (Tiger Stripe) / Black Hand Ninja

** Uncanny X-Force was planned by Hasbro before the X-Force comic series had finished and the new Uncanny X-Force comic series launched. Warpath quit the X-Force team in the series' final issue. The team colors in X-Force are Silver/Black while Uncanny X-Force uses Grey/Black.

Havok is too whiny. one of the best (classic) costumes in all of superherodom... but too damn whiny about not being as good as Scott.... or Polaris... or Madrox.

OMG, Vulcan, one of the worst ideas ever by Marvel. As if Scott wasn't enough of a dick, and Havok wasn't whiny enough, Marvel decides to take the two best Summers' traits and over exaggerate them in one new Summers' brother!! SMH.
