Hey gang, I'm goin to meet up with a guy tomorrow to buy some vintage Transformers and unfortunately I don't know too much about them. He sent me some pics and if he has what I think he has-for the price he's asking-I've hit the motherload.
Anyway, is there a transformers site comparable to yojoe to identify characters/weapons/packaging? |

seibertron.com has a decent figure gallery. Not as good as yojoe, but's it's got most stuff.

Thanks my friends!!! This guy has 12 Generation 1 transformers (all complete-some with o.g.boxes) and he wants $200 for them.
He also has a Skystriker (complete w/parachutes) and a complete moray and he wants $50 for both. Also he has over 37 Lego Space and castle sets that he's letting go for $150. He had a bunch of Star Wars stuff dirt cheap, but he said that's already spoken for. He sent me an e-mail saying that he would be home all day and to give him a call. I left a message and haven't heard back from him yet. I'm gettin' pretty antsy cause I really want this stuff! |

The Transformers are probably a fair deal (depending who they are) and the Skystriker is a steal, the rest, not so much to me Last edited by Shogi; 01-27-2010 at 01:03 PM.. |

Here's the list of transformers. I copied and pasted directly from the ad:
1. OPTIMUS PRIME IN BOX WITH ALL ATTACHEMENTS 2. JETFIRE AIRPLANE WITH ALL RED ATTACHEMENTS 3. SHOCKWAVE WITH INSTRUCKTIONS IN WORKING ORDER, FIRES. 4. MEGATRON IN BOX NEW THE STICKERS ARE STILL IN THE WRAPERS. 5. DINO BOT GRIMLOCK IN THE BOX 6. SIDESWIPE IN THE BOX 7. THUNDERCRAKER IN THE BOX 8. AUTOBOT TWIN TWIST 9. SOUNDWAVE COMMUNICATOR 10 BUZZ SAW TAPE THAT GOES IN COMMUNICATOR 11. SMALL GREY CAR 12. SMALL BLACK VAN I'm not gonna lie, I'm buying these to re-sell and I ran the prices on ebay and it seems like I can make some money on it. I'm unemployed at the moment and selling stuff is the only option I have to bring money in. If I get this stuff I'll pretty much sell the skystriker but probably keep the moray. I always wanted that when I was a kid but never had it. As for the Lego stuff. I didn't price it, but I know alot of that stuff goes pretty high. I sold a set of 8 instruction booklets a few years back for $40. I figure if the instruction books go for that much then the sets themselves will go for more. |

Just be careful of knock offs and reissues. All of those have knock offs floating around and many of them have been reissued (the box is usually a dead giveaway though).
