If only all movie-based toylines were like this!
Think about it: you get all you need in the very first wave. Also, none of the figures have stupid action features and all of them are movie accurate. As in: they do show up in the movie. Finally: they look perfect! ...cuz they could have looked like shit (like the first Spiderman 3 figs or the craptastic Batman Begins stuff). I'm impressed.

There's a small, tiny, part of me that's sad that he isn't in chrome.
But between Iron Man, the Joes, and Indiana Jones next year is going to be rough. |

actually, its pretty accurate that he is NOT in chrome.
if you check out the movie stills, he has more of a candy red and gold metallic w/gloss to him. that said, THESE FIGURES ARE FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! i've been waiting for them ever since the movie was announced (that and the game!). and word up on the war machine. thats gonna be custom number one when i get these. not interested in iron monger (pretty sure i'm in the minority there) but i'll buy a few of the Mk. I armor for customs. buddy of mine on the punisher forums i am on was like "hmm... paint it black and put a skull on it..." may have to rip off his idea there! and i want to do the obvious and paint one to look like the classic iron man, that is, if hasbro doesnt beat me to it. not sure if i want to canibalize my ML 8 war machine for the custom, or scratch build something. i already did a scale check with a marauder mini-gun, and that might actually look better than what came on the original WM. ;) found the iron man TPB of hypervelocity at my base book store last night. read it all when i got home! im so hyped up for this!!!! BTW, there is also a rumor of a 12 inch icon sized movie iron man! its on the cover of toyfare #126! best believe i'm getting that bad boy! (now i REALLY need a masked icon Capt. A!)
