Does anyone know when or if the Toht figure is going to gome out?
I looked on the interwebs, although not very hard, but didn't find anything. I have a vague memory of his figure being annouced, but that could be my overactive inagination. Anyway, he's one of the most memorable villans from that series, and it would be great to have a figure of him. |

It was scheduled for the next wave, but the line has been canceled so it won't be released. Hasbro has said that if there is another Indy movie, they will do more Indy figures and Toht will be released then.

I'm still hoping they release that wave as a retailer exclusive boxset or something. I want that shoeless Marion. The custom possibilities boggle the mind. Boggle!

It would be nice, but I doubt they'll do it. Given the tone of the last couple of Indy Q&A's it sounds like they're hedging their bets towards another IJ movie and a revamped toyline then.
But yeah, it would rock to be able to nab that wave in one shot. I'm still looking for a couple of LC and TOD figures to finish out those waves. |

i would be happy finding ShortRound and Indy from TOD wave. Sounds from all the Q&A's like Hasbro is ticked that more Indy fans didn't jump on the line. No Toht unless we get Indy 6! (and he would probably fall into an impossible to find 3rd wave after aisles flooded with multiple versions of Mutt Willians as indiana jones III.... dang, I've got a serious case of sourgrapes...

How were fans supposed to jump on the line? My local stores still have several pegs stuffed full of the first cases of figures. Indy and mutt aren't exactly army builders.

I just went to 2 K-Marts and they restocked with the Last Crusade line.I finally got them all including Dr. Elsa so there is still hope I might find Temple of Doom figures.I left behind the extra Col. Vogel and Grail Knight. If anyone wants them I'll check if they're still there only problem they are almost $10 a figure!! ouch

The horrible paint apps in the first two waves didn't help much either; tough to get people excited about an Indiana Jones figure that looks nothing like him. Collectors aren't going to buy figures that are that shoddy. It's a shame that just as those were being corrected, the line died; the TOD wave is by far the best paint apps in the line.
It seemed like Hasbro seriously miscalculated the appeal of the line to kids as well. |
