Got my Blackhawk today! Damn it's a thing of beauty.
Haven't put it together yet, just masking the windows and removing the doors at the moment. Gonna go to the modelling shop in a few days to pick out what gray I want. |

The bbi Blackhawk is a true work of art and is highly recommended for those with the room to display it. I should be chopping mine up with the Dremel within a week. Can't wait to see those miniguns hanging out the windows.

In regards to Humvees. Am I right in thinking that nearly all of them would come with TOW rockets instead of a gun on top?
Also who makes the best one with a hard top (I would like one with that slopping roof but not that bothered). |

It really depends, all the Hummers have faults. 21st are perfectly scaled, so figures are really difficult to impossible to get in, Bbi's don't have windshields, etc etc.
I will say that regardless of what comes with the toys, gun mounts seem a lot more common than TOW ones IRL. |

I know in real life most have 50. cal and the like but when it comes to toys they nearly all haves TOWs. Christ, the other day I saw a SWAT humvee with one! What were they bringing down?
I looked at the 21st on Small Joes and I was more impressed with their version. Didn't know about the lack of windsheilds on the Bbi's. Thanks for the heads up! |

I have a 21st the doors dont open very far but the detail is awesome and figures dont really fit. I have a BBI and the doors dont stay closed and it doesnt have a windshield, I have the world peace keepers from big lots they have windshields and the doors stay closed and the figures fit well detail is real good too. plus they are cheap and come in many different variants, I would hit up big lots and get the world peace keepers if I was you

I live in the UK so we don't have Big Lots but there is a website that sells it for only £15, and it comes with the gun!
Actually less detail is probably a bonus as I want to apply stickers and more detail makes it difficult. I can always more stuff to the sides and top later. Have you got some close-up pics of your WPK Humvee as Google Images is just giving be boxed shots. |

For me it goes like this, in terms of quality:
-21st Century Toys -BBi -Hasbro -World Peacekeepers I personally wouldnt bother with anything other then the 21C and BBi HMMWV's. If you want detail go with them, if you want knock-around stuff for kids, go with the other two. Plus the 21c/bbi stuff is pretty cheap. I paid about 20 bucks for 3 hmmwvs, 1 21c, 2 bbi.
