You have to respect bbi's 1:18 Apache no matter what action figure line you collect.

BBI Elite Force action figures are nice to look at, but less articulation means there's nothing much you can do with them except use them as decorations. Cant really play with them to the extent you can with Joes.
I like their vehicles though and 21 century vehicles are nice too. Hasbro vehicles cant even compare. I noticed GI Joes are more compatible with 21st c and BBI vehicles more so than 21st c and BBI action figures. That navy seal that came with the 21st century Jeep looks so awkward siting in it. But shipreck looks great on that jeep. Infact any Joe figure looks better. The two special operations troops that came with the 21st century humvee may be detailed but they are so stiff they can barely stand on their own without leaning them against something.

The Navy SEAL is an old figure that used the swivel joint construction.
It takes plenty of cutting to get a good range of movement out of Joe figures. At least to my tastes. |

Most Joe figures you can put in a prone position when shooting. You cant do the same with BBI figures and certainly not with 21st c.

Some of the later 21st figures came with heads that allowed for a natural prone firing.
Joe figures suck in a prone position without the aforementioned modifications. The SA Clones worked better prone than Joes. |

The early BBi figures were way too rubbery. The last BBi figures are much better.

I have the bbi pavehawk, and it is in excellent condition, and I have some of the elite force army figures, but I am looking for new figures. I know bbi completely revamped their line, but I can't find anything online on what to expect for Elite force this year and next year. I also don't know where to find bbi online or in stores. I have a target near me, and they only carry fov bravo team figures which are great, but I am looking for more vehicles, and bbi makes great ones. Anyone know where someone can find info on bbi elite force this year and next year? Thanks,

Bbi hasn't announced it has any intention to do anything in the 1:18 arena. Merit isn't doing their distribution from what i hear, and whatever people are reading into on their website is simply idle speculation.
I wouldn't expect anything for the duration. Unlike 21st bbi is a big, multi-line company so they'll probably jump back in if/when the economy gets to a point where they feel comfortable. |
