A lot of the 58s have that rattling. It's actually a small block of plastic, theorized to be a counterweight. Fortunately mine either doesn't have it or it's still in place.
Member NSA cut open one of his 58s to tell us all that. |

Thanks for this thread!
I'd love to see them re-release some of those jets/helicopters, and maybe the weapons sets too! |

Saw the rebranded LAV in woodland at TRU for $24.99. Even though the back hatch doesn't open I still almost bought it just because it still looks pretty good. Still might at some point. I wonder if it floats?
Saw the individual figures too. Not to bad for $4.99 but not my thing. |

Really, your Bradley doesn't close? You do have to push it until it clicks in. It should be rather difficult to open. If it doesn't click after you push it with some force, than it is busted.

It's probably busted than. They almost require some leverage to open.

EDIT---THIS IS A THREAD TO DISCUSS REALISTIC 1:18 VEHICLES MADE BY BBI (BLUE BOX TOYS) AND OTHER COMPARABLE COMPANIES (21ST CENTURY, FORCES OF VALOR...ETC).
YOU MAY WANT TO ALSO CHECK OUT THE 1/18 SEWING CIRCLE FOR MUCH MORE INFORMATION AND CAMARADERIE! I'm sorry if I might be rehashing an old subject or thread here but these vehicles are amazing! My girl and I stumbled across this Apache helicopter yesterday at a thrift store! The box was mangled but the chopper was complete and undamaged. We paid $5. Anyway, who else collects these and are the discontinued vehicles impossible to find? Is there a list of what BBI has made/makes? I found a vintage Mutt at an antique store. No longer mint condition because it wasnt in the box and the accesories were missing, but he still had Junkyard so I bought them.

Got lucky and managed to snag an Elite Force LAV for just under $23 in a collectibles store. I was really surprised to see one let alone for the price. As detailed as it is I'm still kind of disappointed. I just might have unrealistic expectations for a 1:18th scale piece of armour.
Also saw a jungle camo Humvee with the TOW that I might go back for. Not sure but it would be nice to have something else to match my bravo team Bradley. I've handled the super Humvee before and it's kind of fiddly(IE doors fall off constantly). Is the fully covered version better? |

When did the LAV come out? The reason i ask is i just cracked open their MD 500 Tow Defender ( It's not an AH-6, people, deal with it) and the detail is very similar to the 21st Huey, which came out around the same time frame. The FLIR doesn't have any detail work to speak of. some warning labels are in gibberish.
To wrap this up, there's a marked improvement between it and the OH-58D. If they did a new LAV or Styker or what have you, you may be a little more impressed. |
