I'm sorry if I might be rehashing an old subject or thread here but these vehicles are amazing! My girl and I stumbled across this Apache helicopter yesterday at a thrift store! The box was mangled but the chopper was complete and undamaged. We paid $5. Anyway, who else collects these and are the discontinued vehicles impossible to find? Is there a list of what BBI has made/makes?

It was a Goodwill store and it was just randomly on a shelf wih a bunch of other loose toys. There was no display or anything that would make me think that the Goodwills got a slew of these. Man that would be awesome if they did!

As far as I know, the discontinued vehicles are hard to find. You could probably get $75-$100 or more for that thing on Ebay. I mean, it's pretty worthless, I'll give you $10 for it. |

BBI made some pretty well detailed vehicles, most notably F/A-18 Hornet, F-16 Falcon/Viper, Apache, Blackhawk (both already mentioned) Kiowa, Little Bird, M1A1 Abrams, LAV-25, various Humvees some fairly well detailed (if not well articulated) 1:18 figs. They sold first at TRU and then at Target (for a little bit less). They have shifted mainly to WWII stuff more recently. Finding them anywhere but ebay now is tough. Last I saw was when Target clearanced them after the holidays last year.
21st Century has made a few 1:18 vehicles (AH-1 Super Cobra being the best of the litter), but they have also mainly focused on WWII stuff. I haven't seen anything modern any time lately from them. More recently a division of Forces of Valor called "Bravo Team" has come out with a few vehicles and figs for Target, most notably an M1A1 Abrams and an M2/3 Bradley IFV. I've seen just a few of these around recently, but mainly just the leftover figs. Does that pretty much cover the 1:18 vehicles guys? |

Awesome score man.
There probably will be a ton of people that will offer you a ton of cash or sexual favors for that vehicle. Toy "collectors" do not have dignity. Was the thrift store a chain store like Tuesday morning or something? If it is that may give others an opportunity to get some of these much sought after vehicles... and reduce the amount of sexual favors propositioned. |

You can visit one of hisstank's fine sponsors at SMALLJOES.COM - GI JOE 3 3/4" Action Figures, Military Toys & Models, Shopping Store and still pick up a few of the ground vehicles from BBi. I've ordered a ton of stuff off that site. You can get them on a good deal, and sometimes you can get burned. They have no remorse about over charging (just my perspective) you on the joes, but no different than any other on-line retailer. The blackhawk, apache, and f-16/18 vehicles are the hardest to find and will cost you a very pretty penny on ebay. I warn you though, you'll never want another GI joe vehicle ever again. HISS tanks fighting several 1:18 elite force/ bravo team m1a1s is a joke.
