I was wandering the toy aisles at Walmart the other day and, while I usually don't pay too much attention to the Adventure Force toys, I noticed a couple of trucks that seem to be on the 1:18 scale and look food enough. They have opening doors, all of them, a relativeley decent interior for this kind of toys, good proportions and are only $13! There are some similar fore/garbage truck from the Kid Connection brand, but they are thin, and I hate the thin vehicles (more in something like a truck). These Adventure Force ones have much better proportions. In my opinion, specially the tow truck, can be useful for some customs. I took some pictures and grabbed a Star Wars figure to show scale.

Do these come with figures?
This got me wondering... what was the last successful toy-line aimed at kids that wasn't based-on an existing IP? |

The jeeps and pickup truck packs usually come with a 1:18th scale figure or figures, accessories, and sometimes an animal. The tow truck, fire engines and garbage trucks usually have lights and sounds instead of a figure.
The normal vehicle sets usually come with a trailer carrying dirtbikes, atvs, or boats. This line is also sold in other stores in their own store brand. Bass Pro Shops, Tractor Supply and a few other outdoor/sports retailers carry them. The figures are similar to Lanard stuff nowadays, at one time they were Oring but they phased those out years ago. A few years back they also had a 1:18th scale Duck Dynasty and Swamp People action figure line of toys made by the same company, those had some intersting vehicles and characters to kit out a Dreadnok swamp display with. The toys seem to sell very well as Walmart and the other retailers consitantly restock them. Walmart has a few of them on their website for sale with detailed pics of the figures: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Adventure...0?athbdg=L1600 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Adventure...d-up/593754649 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Adventure...d-up/181817188 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Adventure...d-up/971162563 Last edited by sisco; 07-01-2023 at 06:49 PM.. |
