Ok, I have to know. Do you guys use these with your GI Joe's or keep them separate.
I have all Joe stuff and my 3-1/2 year old son and I play all the time. I have been really on the fence about buying these other toys and adding them to my Joe's but I kind of feel like it's blasphemy to use non-Joe items with real Joe items. So how about it? Do you guys mix them in or keep them separate? Thanks. |

Mix them. Most things aren't and will never be available via Hasbro/GIJoe. Complete your diorama or battles with all the miscellaneous stuff you can get out of these from tiny pieces of equipment, to vehicles, to buildings. If they don't fit the "look" of your Joes, have a go at customizing them. A Little Bird painted blue makes a great Cobra copter! The figures however, are downright ugly and I would never include those with my Joes.

No, If I do it I wouldn't include the figures either.

I'm only buying the vehicles and playsets to use with Joe. The figures I give to my 3 year old son to play with and destroy, keeps him from begging for the Hasbro figures. Some of the vehicles I don't like also go to my son (like the motorcyle in the TRU set that has the dune buggy).

Definitely use with Joes and toss the PTE figs.
If you can't find any of these at your Big Lots or don't have a Big Lots, check: Vexar Designs - Store

Ok, I did it. I broke down and bought some non-GI Joe stuff. "I feel a little dirty. I showered but I still don't feel clean". LOL
I bought three $3.00 packs of the parachute guys, 1 tower, and at TRU I bought that big double bladed helicopter that can fit a Vamp inside. I am happy with them all especially the helicopter. I need to put some GI Joe stickers on the tower. The helicopter could stay like it is if I was using it for GI Joe but if I use it for Cobra I will have to do a custom paint job with Cobra stickers. I bought the helicopter to use with Cobra but right now it looks really really cool sitting amongst all the GI Joe vehicles. The accessories are great. I want to buy more just to get more accessories. I just threw out all the figures, they were garbage. The little jeep that comes with the helicopter is also very lame but will probably just give to my son to play with with non-GI Joe related toys. |
