Ye you received a shipping quote very similar to mine for Portugal. The shipping cost was almost the same as the order. I wonder if it has anything to do with cities also. Would major cities reduce price? I can supply my work address if that is the case.
I say this because someone got a quote of $15 for a big vehicle. Still didn't understand very well these differences in pricing and their actual shipping methods.

My city is a pretty major one, so I don't know if that helps.
This really sucks because we really wanted those jets and the missle truck. |

It seems a bit ridiculous. If that is actually the cost then ship them all in separate. If someone got a quote for $15 to ship that missile truck. I assume the S27 and J10 would cost the same. So for half of that price they gave you they can ship them all. Really a weird shipping system because normally such things don't happen, shipping more is normally cheaper.

It appears that they ship the products via fedex airmal from Hong Kong. That is very pricey. When you add large boxes to the picture it increases the price further. I thought that they would ship them with a slower parcel method. It is a little cheaper that way. I would be ok waiting 4-6 weeks to get my package from China if it was cheaper.
I broke down and ordered my items even though the shipping was 2/3rd of my order total. I don't think I'll ever see the rocket truck or quonsenet building in the US. But I am not going to regularly order from them. I think they need to work on more reasonable shipping methods if someone is willing to wait longer to get their items. Just my opinion

My shipping quote was $80 and I ordered a lot of stuff. I don't feel so bad now. I need to get it paid for and shipped.

High value orders are shipped express courier (or similar premium service for your country) so that they can be insured and signed for on delivery. 2 parcels means 2x fees for this too. If you are that concerned about postage cost, consider ordering one item at a time to see if you can get cheaper postage that way. From what I can tell, the people with low rates only made small orders. |

Damn, this got a nice chuckle out of me at work! Yeah, that shipping is quite expensive.

My order arrived yesterday, and it is glorious:
It looks like a freight company handled the transportation from Hong Kong into LAX and FedEx took it from there. Of my three shipping packages in the shipment, one was opened for inspection and resealed by US Customs. It doesn't look like they opened any of the inner packaging to even see what was inside, they basically just cut open the outer shipping box and then taped it shut again. Every item I ordered was accounted for and none of the retail packaging suffered any damage at all in transit despite the shipping boxes being pretty banged up. As in Exciter's experience, all of my product was packed into white boxes with bubble wrap around them WITHIN the outer shipping boxes. It took me a while to get through all of it to get the goods out. I truly could not have been happier with the way they packed the product up for shipping. If I had money to burn on quonset huts I would certainly feel confident enough in their delivery to order a few of them. In response to those suggesting that only small orders get relatively low shipping rates, my shipping rate to the Cincinnati OH area for a $197 (merchandise total) order was $50 for ALL of that stuff you see in the picture (A-10, J-10, missile truck, humvee, APC, three camel/figure combo packs, and two ammobot figures). Paypal fees were another $10. My out-of-pocket total on the order was $229.12 after shipping, Paypal fees, and taking the 15% merchandise discount for jumping through Facebook promotion hoops. (I didn't have a Facebook account prior to this so I registered one, followed the steps, and made my purchase....now I can close the account I guess!) Maybe they lost money on me? Dunno. But if I were any of you who received a shockingly high shipping quote I'd at least write back and ask them what they can do to bring that down. This Ronald dude at M&C is really responsive and you might end up pleasantly surprised if you ask them to check into a cheaper shipping option. In any case, LAX to Minneapolis can't be any worse than LAX to Cincinnati so maybe. If they say they can't send it any cheaper, then so be it. But if you can find a way to get shipping rates like what I had it will be well worth your while to follow through. I don't think there is any way I would have been able to acquire anything in my order at retail domestically and secondary market prices on these things are even more shocking than the worst shipping quotes you guys have posted.

One more thing not to understand this. It cost $50 for all of that and someone got a quote for $150 for something cost less and having the same volume or less. I won't even compare to the quote I had because I'm in a different country but $60 for all of that is really cheap. I cannot even send a big airplane for less then $40 using regular mail. I sent in the past some Chap Mei Ospreys to US and it was very costly because it was over 2Kg. I guess those in US can ask for a proper explanation regarding these big discrepancies
