Aw, man...I've been dying to get one of those Battlefields forever. Don't give me an excuse to spend more money!
As for the rocket helicopter mentioned in the last couple posts, which rocket helicopter are we talking about? A True Heroes one, or the PTE one? It might be possible to make a 3D-printable version of the pod for symmetry (or 2 of the "correct" pod, if the one included is "wrong" for that model of whirlybird). Also, anyone have any feedback on the True Heroes Patrol Boat hatch situation I mentioned last page? I don't want to run down the clock on my receipt for too much longer. :P

It's the World peacekeepers Arial rocket helicopter, I just received an email from the company, I doubt that they will be able to help though. I might just cast a couple.

I'll see if I can later tonight after work--it might be difficult to get good pictures that illustrate the problem. But like I said, it's a fairly simply flaw--the hatch pulls on the "windshield" portion too tightly when latched, and causes the "windshield" to partially separate from the body of the boat. If I can get good pics demonstrating this, I'll post 'em.

Are Big Lots starting to restock for Christmas again? I think I'm going to need to buy lots and lots of the Horse packs for the Dime Novel Legends figures.

It looks like Big Lots is starting to get their restock for Christmas. I live in the midwest and the Big Lots by me got some of the battlefields, rocket helicopters, tanks, Infantry fighting vehicles and Humvees. No figure packs yet. And no headquarters, jets or new sets yet.

When the top hatch is latched into place, it pulls on the "windshield", so it separates from the hull, like so: When the hatch is UNlatched, the "windshield" can be snapped securely into place, so it's flush with the hull: With the "windshield" securely snapped into place, you can see that the hatch doesn't quite reach the bar it's supposed to latch onto. (In fact, it's possible for the hatch latches to be pushed downward so they're completely alongside the bar, rather than resting on it.): Now, I was eyeballing the weapons tree, and I noticed that the rectangular regions on the sides have an elliptical gap *just* big enough for the hatch latches to fit into (the left would require a bit of sanding, but the right is perfect): So I was wondering if it would be worth cutting these parts of the tree off, trimming and sanding them to fit the bar on the top of the windshield, gluing them on, and using those as the latch points for the hatch. Or, if someone who owns the boat already has a better idea. I'm not interested in extensive customization, so the simpler, the better. I know, it's a lot of deliberation for a simple flaw on an inexpensive vehicle, but what can I say; I'm particular (read: "bitchy") about this kind of thing. Thanks in advance!

I saw a few new things at Big Lots. Not "new" new stock: the Arial Rocket Copter, the black Blackhawk copter, humvees (no arctic ones), the bunk bed and tent military life sets, the jeep with a trailer and motorbike (not the sidecar one), the amphibious buggy with an atv.
No seal teams or boats or buildings. |

How long was the sale supposed to last? Did I already miss it?
Plus, pics of the True Heroes Patrol Boat issue are on the previous page. Opinions and advice welcomed.

Yes, you missed it. They are weekend sales. Saturday you can use your Big Lots Card or sign up if you don't have one.
Sunday, a coupon you can print online is used. Or that's how it usually is. I don't get their emails anymore for some reason. |
