They are Wow Toyz Motormax ones who have been making several of the True Heroes\Soldier Force (Chap Mei) Aircraft for some time look at their Apche for reference, interestingly TH has started to make a slightly different version of their Apache which is why you can get the old one for $24.99 or the new one for $29.99 I included pics of the Wow Toyz (MotorMax) Apache and the old vs new TH Apache |

Just popped over to the TRU website and, FYI, anyone looking for the hovercraft it's on sale for $29.99 (down from $49.99):
True Heroes Military Hovercraft - Toys R Us - Toys "R" Us I don't know if that's old news or not, but I know some people on here have been thinking of buying one of these, so hopefully this helps someone... |

I had a chance to get into the Wow Toyz F-22 Raptor set I received a couple days ago from the Navy Exchange Online (I guess there are some benefits to getting blowed up as I got to keep PX\Commisary for life). I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived that it was not in fact all black as it had been in some photos but a really nicely painted light grey\slate "aerial" camo pattern (AF guys feel free to help me out I don't fly planes I just jump out of them). The color scheme is nicely applied over the well textured skin of the aircraft, which is quite large approx 23" long and with the two wing extensions which are in the bottom left of what I believe may be the world's largest blister pack has a wingspan of approximately 19". I was unable to fully approximate the height with the gear fully extended as I plan on leaving this item in the pack as I may be re-homing it (see below) but with the gear retracted and the tail fins up it is approx 6", one standard size 3.75" figure would have more than enough room in the cockpit covered with a smoked plexi canopy.
Speaking of the figures the included one is appears to be little bit better sculpt than the usual True Heroes\Soldier Force (Chap Mei) ones, with flight gear that reminds me of the Viper Pilots from BSG but he is not anything to really write home about either and as he only has knee joints that articulate I am guessing most members would relieve him of his flight duties for some higher speed lower drag piloting option. Since I did mention duties, the set includes two nice 55 gallon drums which could be cut in half to provide a decent field expedient latrine (honey bucket) or if the flight crew is engaged in the normal frat boy pilot shenanigans modified into a nice tactical still. Where they can produce spirits that can be bartered for items that the Non-POGs in their AO collect during their escapades outside the wire which the Fobbits can then send home as their "war trophies" from their grueling 6-12 week tour "in the shit." Anywho, there are also 6 pieces of ordnance included two of which appear to be air to air missles, while the other four look air to be ground muntions for those times when your cherry new Platoon Leader has to scratch that urge to put some warheads on foreheads. Thus summoning every hot stick fast mover jock rocking a payload far too large for your engagement that just wants to "get-some" who then proceeds to engage in exchange on the radio that evokes bowel-emptying fear in you as you listen to the incorrect grid being relayed multiple times and you find yourself wondering if you end up sharing your enemy' s fate that day must he then share all his new found virginal wealth with you? When finally through some act of sheer dumb luck you witness the ordinance not only striking the correct target but by what you can only assume is sheer divine intervention actually having good effect on target. You can then only sit and watch as the pilot guides his aircraft swiftly off station to return to his still, hot chow, A/C and Internet connection. While you are left to hear your newly emboldened LT begin to regale the entire battalion command net with his moment of triumph and practically author his own Bronze Star (without the valor device) award citation in the process. Sorry, I guess I got a bit off topic I did note from the box that while the item is imported to the U.S. by Wow Toyz it is manufactured by Red Box Toys which has factories in mainland China and offices in Hong Kong which is almost co-located with Chap Mei who is the exporter out of HK for lines like True Heroes in the US\Canada and Soldier Force globally. It appears that Red Box, Chap Mei, Excite (importers of the endorsed USMC & US Army lines), Motor Max, etc; are all part of the same conglomerate, which explains all the different vehicle designs and figure sculpts shared between all of the companies. So the good news as you can see in the attached pictures this vehicle is identical to the True Heroes F-22, which I suspect are made in the same modern, ergonomic factory which is powered only by green renewable energy sources factory in China uses no-child labor even if their tiny little fingers are perfect for thing all of those little ties to the packaging. The bad news is that in addition to all of the unemployed toddlers, the Navy exchange is now out of this item. As after I saw some of the cools MOCs out there utilizing this vehicle picked up the rest of the inventory and was informed that they do not expect the item to be restocked. I do plan on listing some of the sets that are excess to the needs of my Army either in the B\S\T threads or on e-bay Please note: The opinions contained within this review represent solely those of the mildly brain-damaged author, no Lieutenants were harmed in the making of this review...okay well maybe just their feelings. I'd like to snag one from you if you are willing to sell one for near your cost plus shipping. Price is the reason I haven't already picked one up elsewhere.

I had to find one of these earlier this year for my son. I wish I'd known about their availability at the PX at the time. I had to spend $35 (in addition to a $20 Amazon gift card my son chipped in) for it. BTW, it's a total POS at $55.00. The interior has been dumbed down even more from the original release (the pilot sits on what amounts to a plank now) and the plastic is pretty cheap, but my son digs it, so I guess it's worth it.
As for these particular Wow Toyz Motormax F-22s the plastic used appears right on par with the kind used in True Heroes vehicles like their C-130 or Chinook which is to say pretty sturdy and as for the cockpit these have a seat and a HUD |

Just talking about all this stuff about the differences between off brand material quality and build even with products using identical designs/molds/sculpts makes me want to start using a digital caliper to gauge thickness and taking pictures of details like hinges, mold lines and approximation of the halves of vehicles when they are joined. Is there any objective method that someone would no to actual gauge the density of the plastic used in the construction, needs to be reasonable, i.e. I am not carting around a sonograph, spectrometer or the like. It stinks there are all the stickers because I am guessing using immersion specific gravity might be measurable some how

Well I now have a dozen of them, after getting hosed on an exchange that I set up and moved all kinds of things around to make happen, I am severely questioning the wisdom of trying to move the the ones that I am not keeping through exchanges with other forum members. As much as that viewpoint stinks and as much as I am usually one to prefer to share and build into a community, it might be a better practice going forward to only "share" through eBay or other auction sites where their are contracts to make people honor their agreements.
As there was one guy that had already asked about obtaining an F-22, I will honor that request and have contacted him about an exchange. Just kind of stinks that my viewpoint on these types of things is not more widely held. This is what I am referring to: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...minnesota.html
