Big Lots has by now surely sold out of all of their PTE stuff. TRU doesn't carry any PTE stuff anymore. The Blackhawk at TRU isn't made by PTE but by another company. bar lives in Scotland where there are no Big Lots.

There is a PTE blackhawk (maybe 2), about 4 f18's and a metric f%$k ton of hummers at my local Toy World store.
Sadly for all of you, I live in Tasmania (AUS) and if I bought them for you they would cost a fortune to ship. The Blackhawk sells for about $70AUD, the F18's are $90 (i think) and the Hummers are $35. Postage would be killer too. There are also a couple of towers for $20 each. They did have at least one SU27 when I bought my Blackhawk, but when I went back the other day there were none. They have none of the really good stuff, and no multi packs of figures which sucks for me. I want tanks and soldiers. - Ian |

Hey bar,
I was actually thinking of the same idea. Taking the rotors/tail off of a scorpion and grafting them to a pte blackhawk. I have yet to see the movie so I do not know how close it will look but it sounds like we are on the same plane. I have a few other things going right now but I may jump into it later. Good luck on your build!!! |

The Samson rotors are gigantic in scale, so i doubt the little ones off the Scorpion will do. A better idea is to make new rotor housings from scratch. I am doing that on a small scale with a little custom build based on the Sigma Scale Rhino Copter. |

Oh, I'm very excited to see how this turns out. This looks awesome.

Thanks. It will have intakes on the top surface, and small exhausts on the rear surface. The thinking is that the rotors provide lift, but the engines provide the forward momentum. And i intend to give it either "Old School" landing skids or the "landing wings" like the Hornet from Halo. I think the skids might look better. |

I'll show it off when it's finished. Sometimes these WIPs take forever to complete. So i show them when they are finished. S6 stuff is great for modding. I am building a "Pelican-a-like" from a S6 Dragonhawk. I also filled and sanded the original canopy from a S6 Firebat to turn it into a vacform buck so i can swap out the red canopies so they can have normal clear ones. Can anyone explain why the cobra jets have red canopies??? |
