It is an awsome unit. The tail is a few inches too short, but the rest is pretty well scaled. It's not so bad that it looks silly. Most people don't even realise. I don't know how joe figures fit in it, as I don't have any (THE HORROR!!!) but I imagine they would fit fine, as there is plenty of room and the PTE figures are of comparable size. Any questions? - Ian |

As it happens, i DO have a few questions(And i'd love to see pics if you have them): Do the propeller blades all detach?(And the rotator hub also) Have you ever tried to strip the thing to pieces? Are there screws holding it together, or is it glued? As i said, i want to try and make a "Samson-style" craft using the hull. I can fabricate everything else. It wouldn't be a stretch, but if this hull is fine, i'd go with that. Also, i normally use 1/22 or 1/24 figures, so the size for Joes isn't an issue for me. But i'd love to see pics!(got any of the little sigma figures to put next to it for comparison?) Feel free to pm them to me, or via e-mail at [email protected] And thanks! |

I havent stripped one yet (I have 3, 2 of the PTE ones, and 1 BBI one) but I plan to buy two more PTE ones and customize them.

I've redone my bbi blackhawk into the tomahawk last year, and that was a big challenge and expensive but well worth every penny.
As for the True Heroes blackhawk, I have that in the basement that I already took apart, I'm planning on redoing the interior because it's pretty pathetic looking with just solid chunks of plastic blocks as seats.

Thanks.
It's good to know. My build won't need propellers. Quote:

Mine also won't need the doors. Except for the pilot's area. |

Once all the screws are out you'll need to pop the top engine assembly out (it's tight, but it's actually meant to slide right out) and use a screwdriver or knife to pry open the seam at the top. |
