He's more CHUG size than MP, but he is a good piece. ToyWorld re-released their MP version in a box set and corrected all of the previous issues (or so I've heard). Take a look at that one and see what you think:

http://thetoysource.com/toyworld/TW-...-of-6-figures/ After the G1 updates and price cut/box set were announced, I was ready to like this guy, I really was. But the slipshod construction and tolerances really put a damper on things. This is my second Toyworld combiner, and very likely my last (presuming TW survives the current debacle of their design team quitting). Constructor was an expensive disappointment. |

Nope, not all of the issues. The tolerances are all over the place, some stuff finger-slicing tight, some super loose. Unfortunately Scrapper is one of the loose ones in my batch, and as a result Devatator can't stand reliably. The shin buckles at Scrapper's knees and the whole thing comes crashing down. That's, um, kind of a problem. A few people over at TFW have reported the same issue, but it doesn't seem to be widespread. Someone suggested a fix involving cutting some thin strips of clear packaging plastic and wedging them inside of the ratchet key to prevent wiggle and reported good results. I haven't tried it yet because I've soured on this guy quite a bit, and doubt I could ever trust it unattended on a shelf (which is it's only job in my collection). There are some pretty great engineering tricks here and there, but there's also baffling decisions like having the entire weight of the combined bot be supported by a combination of flimsy ratchets better suited for the smaller bot *and* freaking friction universal joints instead of locking things down.

Yeah, it really does seem like it's hit and miss. Which is a shame because the potential is very much there in combined form.

What are your guys thoughts on the Unique Toys Combaticons? I really like Swindle and Brawl so far, they are very toon accurate. I will go broke, but my idea is to keep the UT in their bot modes and then the Zeta Bruticus in combined mode.....

If I had money I would buy both. But I'm leaning towards Zeta for the combined mode as I have TW Constructor and would want him to be similar in height.

Got "Not Bludgeon" by DNA Design today. He'll make a fine addition to my MP Decepticon leadership display

I am not a fan of that design. I never liked that they combined his Pretender mode onto his robot version like that.
Oh and MP Arfire is on sale! https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/...=AN1VRQENFRJN5
