Yes, crossover.
The thing I never got about comics purists is that you can have great and entertaining comics that aren't "canon" (which shouldn't matter that much anyways unless it's a very specific story told by one person plotted out from the beginning). See: Batman/Aliens Batman/Predator Batman/Spawn etc. What would make a Joe/TF crossover even better would be a toyline where the Joes can actually fit in the TFs, thus resolving the scale issues that have plagued Transformers forever (Jets are smaller than trucks and suv's? What? ) And resurrecting MASK in any way would be freaking amazing.

Yes of course this is a good idea. For every kid (or big kid here) who tried to play with all of their toys at the same time. Joes and Transformers didn't go. Cops and Joes didn't go and so on and so forth. Now that Hasbro has Marvel legends, it'll be cool to be able to have ALL of their properties un the same scale allowing kids a much larger range of play as well as collectors a nice way to store their figures. For those who open or keep mint on card, it'd be nic eto be bale to have the same kind of storage - boxes, wall space, tackle boxes, totes, etc... - to keep them on.
This would be a great idea.... And whoever it was that said it would be great to fit a Joe inside the cab of a scale Optimus is right on. Won't happen, but still a fanboy's wet dream.

If it gets us more joes I'm in.
I'd only get Joes and TFs though and keep them separate. Mind you it would be cool for the TFs to be in-scale with the Joes.... |

Get them to build TF's that Joes will fit in.
Who would buy more, TF fans or Joe fans?

Not only should these all be mixed together (or at least exsist in the same universe) but you have to add in Inhumanoids since both had reporter Hector Ramirez!

Joe fans are idiotically cheap, they wouldn't be thrilled too shell out the cash a Transformer that could fit a 4 inch figure would require.

I voted no. However, 1/18 scale Transformers are a MUST!!!
I would welcome MASK - I think your idea of getting the tech from the Transformers is awesome - but not COPS.

I currently display Masterpiece Prime and a few Alternators in robot mode on my shelf behind my Joes. They look great together.
Anyone know if the new Ravage figure that comes with Universe Hound is 1/18th scale it looks pretty close. I'd love some 1/18th scale Transformers. A Starscream colored Skystriker would be incredible. I'd love to see some classic Transformers humans made in Joe compatible scale (in the Transformers line not the Joe line though) like Spike, Doctor Arkeville, and Flint's daughter Marissa Faireborn. Heck a 1/18th scale non transforming Walter P-38 painted in Megatron's colors for Cobra Commander to hold would rule. A 1/18th scale non transforming Soundwave boombox for the Noks would be great as well. Someone should make an accessory pack of Transformer Alt forms to put in Joe displays. Soundwave and Megatron would look great as set pieces in the Terrordome. Blaster and Perceptor would look good in Joe headquarters as well. |
