MUSCLES aka Kinnikumen. They had pink, beige and dark blue knock offs. They had another series in the early 90s that were a more glossy rubber and were more 3D varied poses. |

When i had my big GIJOE score a few weeks ago, my girl spotted a Care bears playset (opened, but in the box) along with the creepy janitor that came with it and about a dozen little random plastic bears....she offered 5 bucks and the lady was sold...

M.U.S.C.E.S. that is what they were. I had forgotten what they were called. Thanks guys. I used to have lots of those little guys. I would have them battle my Food Fighters and Battle Beasts all the time. I wish i still had all of my toys from when i was little. I would call in to work and get them all out and stage a huge battle in my sons room...

i had some of those MUSCLE dudes. and there was a combat oriented competitor by the name of GUTS that i had also. they were like the 2.5" sigma six of thier time.
also had army ants! and somebody just wrote to toyfare magazine asking about SKY COMMANDERS! i had a ton of them. walking into my room was like walking into a cat's cradle hahaha and of course everything else you guys have mentioned. and the real ghostbusters! i had ecto-1 and all the guys, slimer, some crazy goo trap thing, and a roleplay proton pack! and yes centurious were awesome. like iron man and sigma six combined. also had ZOIDS when they first started! i think they had a different name though? battle zoids or something? haha i even had a few of the police academy cartoon toys... why i dont know haha and COPS! fightin crime in a future time... so awesome.

My favorite were the Adventure People by Fisher Price. They were regular everyday people that were the same scale as G.I. Joe. They made great hostages. Also Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with Warduke & Strongheart.
