I read in one of the Q&A's that IJ can't really support a collector market. I think it's probably the licensing from lucas is more than what a collectors line could make. Hasbro owns G.I.Joe so starting it as a 'collectors line' with the 25th figures was still making them money. Best thing I've heard for IJ to continue is if it gets rolled into the StarWars line where we would get 1 or 2 Indy figures in a StarWars wave. Slow going on getting the figures you want, but probably the only way they would survive to be made anyways...

I'm not 'all offended by it', it's just that the line is struggling for survival, they've pretty much admitted that the line is dead, and instead of releasing the ToD set, we get this. If the line was alive and well, I'd say 'bring it on', but it's not... it's floundering.

I'm going to pass on this play set. I hated the Mustafar playset this one is based off of and I have no real want of the figures in the set.
If/When this doesn't sell well Hasbro will say kids don't like playsets, just like they always do. If that's the case why do they keep doing putting out the occasional playset? If I remember correctly in a Q&A they said they didn't have to put out a playset for this line, but I can't remember. Other toy lines seem to have no trouble selling play sets when they put them out. I think along the way they just forgot how to make playsets like they used to. If they stopped trying to rehash cruddy playsets and put more effort into it like they did with the BMF they might get kids, or parents, to buy them.

I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down! |

As an Indy playset I think it works well (much better then that poor excuse Hasbro claimed was Mustafar.....King Kong I'll go for...Star Wars...nah) However, I won't be spending my $40 on this....WHEN (and I know it will) it hits clearance then maybe... still not crazy about the 2 poop figures included. I want thos Doom figures dagnabbit!!!!

It's not too bad as Mustafar... if you scale down the figures a little 3 3/4 make look silly displayed on it but the SW minis make it look a lot more imposing...

Now I want the mustafar playset and a whole bunch of star wars minis. That just looks awesome. Now imagine if hasbro released that set in the scale where the minis were the 3/4 inch figures. It would be huge and definitely better looking.
