Anybody have any idea when (and if) the wave of Indiana Jones Temple Of Doom figures are scheduled for release? All I see are the Raiders and Skull figures warming the pegs. I was lucky enough to score a few Last Crusade figures (have only spotted them once...over a month ago) but still need a few to complete the wave. I fear this line may be Doomed (no pun intended)

Yeah, that's the Last Crusade wave (I still need Henry Jones though)...I'm talking Temple Of Doom that I thought was supposed to be out in August. I just see these old waves sitting there on the shelf and just don't know if a Doom wave will even see the light of day (or if best a very limited release) based on sales

I don't know where the newest wave is. I'm afraid Wave 2 was drowned out by too many Raiders and Skull figures. I never even saw them in my area. I'm guessing Temple of Doom will never see the light of day here. This line just kinda died.

I think Temple of Doom comes out early next year. Hopefully by then all the peg warmers will be off the shelves and new stock can come in.
Hopefully the line starts selling better with the release of the dvd around the corner and Christmas coming. If not then the line will die. Maybe before that happens they can give us an Indiana Jones who actually looks like Harrison Ford and the Toht figure. At least despite the pegs being clogged with Raiders and Crystal Skull figures here I was able to find a small portion of the Last Crusade line. I found 2x Henry, 2x Young Indy, and 3x Indiana Jones w/ machine gun. I passed on the adult Indy and grabbed the Henry and Young Indy figures. Unfortunately no Grail Knight, Vogal, or Elsa. Hopefully I can find those 3 while out of state this weekend.

All right, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these?! Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down! Last edited by Apeiron; 09-09-2008 at 02:52 AM.. |

I've seen TLC wave 3 times, twice at Wal-Mart and once at K-Mart.
I don't know how your Target is, but ours has plenty of space for Indy action figures with just some random Priest Belloqs and Cairo Swordsmen pegwarmers. They get re-stocked rarer than Joes. But there's room if Hasbro will just send some stuff. Wal-Marts, on the other hand, are saturated. They need to do a buy one get one free sale to clear out those pegwarmers. I saw the Akator playset at TRU today, $40. Not my thing, but I'm glad it made it to retail. |

So far Young Indy, Henry Jones and Last Crusade Indy are the only figures from that wave I've seen hitting stores. Last week I walked into a Walmart that had a new center isle display shelf with Indy figures. There was no room for anymore figures so no one had taken any yet. I saw 4-5 each of the above 3 figures. My theory is that they have a revision wave going right now with more of the previously release 2 waves and 3 of the most unwanted wave 3 figures (Last Crusade figures) I keep seeing the two packs of Cairo Thugs but have only seen Mutt on motorcycle once (a good ways away from my area)
I haven't kept up on what waves are supposed to show up when. All I know is I've seen pictures of figures from Temple and more Raiders figures (Thot and all those) |
