Ok I casually collect MOTUC...but that's really only because they're such a pain in the ass for me to get.
Also I am absolutely buying these Voltron lions and pilots. So...the only answer I need before putting up the coin for the subscription, is to this question: Will subscribing to Matty Collector make it easier for me to get the figures I want? I mean if I still have to find a computer and refresh a screen 8000 times only to lose out...what's the point? If I'm guarenteed product in a timely manner...then the 35.00 bux for both subscriptions will be well worth it. So, Matty vets, your input is needed. |

I whole heartedly recommend the MotU sub. You are guaranteed every new figure every month without troubling yourself by going on line. The only thing not included are any weapons packs, or con exclusives. Also, they are releasing a special series of 6(?) original figures for the 30th Anniversary that will not be part of the sub.

I am now a sub holder for the 3rd year in a row.
If this is a line that you truly enjoy and feel that you want to continuously collect then the sub is def. the way to go. I have at least one of everything released so far opened on my shelves. It is by far and away the best figure line currently offered anywhere. I don't think I have yet to be displeased with a figures release. If you enjoy the line and want to avoid the hassle of the white screen of death then jump on board and grab a sub. Anything you don't want is usually easily re-sellable.

The Voltron line is fantastic!
just remember that the pilots are $15 here is the breakdown for the Voltron sub: Subscription Cost Red Lion and Green Lion @ $35 each = $70 Blue Lion and Yellow Lion @ $40 each = $80 Black Lion = $50 Pilots: 5 @ $15 each = $75 Club-exclusive item/sign-up fee: $15 (billed at signup) TOTAL $290 plus shipping/taxes/fees (varies by your location & shipping method chosen) Pilot and Lion will be billed at the same time (pilot and corresponding lion) and they will be available every few months, not every month like MOTUC

If you want to have all the figures (minus weapon packs, con exclusives, and the six special figures for 2012) and avoid the WSOD, then the sub is the way to go. I got one for 2011 and it's been nice not having to log on to the site on sales days. I've traded away and sold the ones I didn't want and not had to worry about missing out on anything. The Voltron sub is tempting, but I just don't think I can swing it and MOTUC. The one good thing about Voltron is it won't be every month though.
